PENALTIES (Summative Work) In all cases a formal warning is given and a record made contributing to the student’s previous history. The CA is standard CA and there was no evidence of an attempt to avoid detection. This is the student’s second time to present a piece of work that is plagiarised. Category History Second time Amount/Extent Above 50% Level/Stage Level 1 (Second Year) Value of Assignment Standard Additional Characteristics ‐ Total 460 points is a Level 2 offence. Follow Level 2 procedures. Points 200 160 70 30 ‐ 460 ExampleofLevel3Offence A third year student presents a standard CA with 25% of the document plagiarised. The passages plagiarised cover the key concepts of the subject. This is the student’s third plagiarism offence.
