Introduction CMS (Case Monitoring System) is a Web based Application that allows Online entry, forwarding, action recording and uploading of references/demands handed over by various dignitaries. 2. How to start CMS To start CMS, type the url -: www.ircep.gov.in/OSDPRI in the address bar of Internet Explorer. Type the username and password to Login into the application. CRIS recommends use of Internet Explorer 7.0 or higher for CMS application. 3. Instructions for Users Users should login into the CMS application through the Username and Passwords provided by OSDPRI. Once users receive their username and passwords, they are advised to change their passwords and keep them secret to ensure safety and to avoid illegal use of their Login username and Password through “Change Password” option. CRIS 15 June 2012 CMS Instruction Manual (a) HOME Page -: This is the Home Screen for Railway Users. Once a Railway User log in to the application through his/her Username / Password, this screen is displayed. User can take the print of this information page. This screen shows the cases marked to the concerned Railway of the Login User. The information shown is -: CRIS 15 June 2012 CMS Instruction Manual 1. File No. 2. Name of VIP 3. Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha 4. Constituency 5. State 6. Zone 7. Case Date 8. Subject of Case 9. Case No. 10. Action Taken 11. Mark To 12. Category of Case With each Heading, up & down images are given which can be used to sort the particular column in ascending or descending order. The rows in yellow color signifies the Cases for which the remarks have already been entered. image in the start of rows signifies that the case contains some soft copy attached with it. Below the name of VIP, (Upload) option is provided. On Click of this, a small window of “Upload Case Wise Attachment” will open. This can be used for uploading soft copies / letters, references etc. by the Directorate if any. By clicking “Browse” button, the file to be attached can be selected. After selecting the file, click on the Upload button. After successful uploading a message will appear. CRIS 15 June 2012 CMS Instruction Manual In Mark To column, a selection box is provided in each row. This selection box contains all the Users created by the logged in user through the option Change Password & Create User-> Create User. By selecting any user from the list, the case can be marked to the selected user. Now when the marked user will open the CMS application through his/her loginid-password, he/she will see only the cases marked to him/her. On clicking of Subject, a new screen will open shown as below-: CRIS 15 June 2012 CMS Instruction Manual This screen shows all basic details about the Case. In Railway Remarks column, User will input the remarks on behalf of their Railway. If the remarks are already filled, those will be shown. After filling all the information, the user will click Update button to save the details in the database. CRIS 15 June 2012
