Play leaders will be responsilble for looking after equipment by giving it out and collecting it in. Min/Max age: Duration – hours & minutes? Does it extend? Does it challenge?) The Play Leaders programme The award is designed for use in variety of education settings as a one day course and focuses on developing learners leadership skills. By the end of the course, the learner will have skills to set up simple games and/or activities that they are familiar with and they will feel confident when assisting in leading small group of peers or younger children under direct supervision. Children will progress to Yr 6 and become senior Play Leaders. The experience and the confidence gained working with children in other year groups will allow the children to understand the roles they can play in being a leader throughout life and how being a good, positive leader is important.
