Passes in the form of wristbands will be issued in relation to the number of entries made as follows
(these will be in addition to members/patrons badges issued separately. Under 16years old
accompanied by an adult will be entitled to free entry):

This Show is a qualifier for the N.C.P.A. Pony of the Year Show in September 2017. First and
Second Prize winners in appropriate classes will qualify N.C.P.A.No. 157/17
NPS Qualifying Rounds:Affiliation number - S11.031 These classes are judged under the Rules
of the NPS. Ponies must be registered in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland
Stud Books. Part breds are not eligible for Mountain & Moorland Classes. To compete in Show
Pony and Show Hunter Pony classes ponies must be registered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud
Book, Register, Appendix, International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB, the GSB, the AHSB,
the AASB or in the main body of their respective Mountain & Moorland Stud Books. Part-Breds are
not eligible unless entered in the NPS British Riding Pony Stud Book, Register, Appendix,
International or Sports Pony section of the BRPSB.
Qualifying rounds for most NPS competitions are open to ponies owned by NPS members and nonmembers but only ponies owned by adult NPS Qualifying or Life members are eligible to qualify
for the final of the competition at the NPS Summer Championship Show on 2018

The highest placed pony, if owned by an NPS member, in each class will qualify for the final.
Qualification may pass down to third place if the first and second ponies are already qualified.
NPS/Rosettes Direct Home Produced Ridden Championship - Riders of Home Produced ponies (see
definition in the NPS Rules Book) can wear a white arm band in classes where this is indicated. These
ponies, if owned by NPS members, are then eligible to qualify for the final at the NPS Summer
Championship Show. The Owner’s Membership cards MUST be produced in the ring when requested
or the qualification will be forfeit.
NPS Silver Medal Rosette Championship
To be judged under the Rules of the NPS. NPS Silver Medal Rosettes are only awarded when the
Owner of the champion pony is a Qualifying or Life Member of the NPS.A valid membership card
must be in the rider’s/handler’s possession on entering the ring and be produced immediately on
request by either the judge or the steward. If the owner of the Champion pony is not a member or the
owner’s membership card is not immediately produced, the rosette may be awarded to the Reserve
Champion provided they have the required membership card. If the Champion pony has previously
qualified it is still entitled to the Silver Medal Rosette but the Qualification goes to the Reserve
Champion pony, provided the Owner of that pony is a Member of the NPS. The Silver Medal Rosette
and the Qualification card can be awarded no lower than first Reserve (third). Foals are not eligible
for Silver Medal Championships
Qualifiers are entitled to compete in the final of the Silver Medal Rosette Championship to be held
at the NPS Summer Championship Show in August 2018.
NPS Mountain & Moorland In Hand Kilmannan Stud Silver Medal Rosette Championship
A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by The National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned
by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the Mountain and Moorland in hand section. The Sponsor’s
Rosette is also awarded to the pony receiving the Qualification. Membership cards must be presented
in the ring to receive the medal and/or qualification (See NPS Silver Medal Championship
Conditions in this schedule).
NPS The Minns Family Mountain & Moorland Ridden Silver Medal Rosette Championship
A Silver Medal Rosette is offered by the National Pony Society for the best registered pony owned
by an NPS Qualifying or Life member in the Mountain and Moorland Ridden Section. Membership
cards must be presented in the ring to receive the medal and/or qualification (See NPS Silver Medal
Championship Conditions in this schedule).
THE IRISH DRAUGHT HORSE SOCIETY (GB) will award Special incentive Cards to the
highest placed Irish Draught Pure Bred or Irish Draught Sport Horse in class 251. To be eligible,
exhibits must be registered with or overstamped by the IDHS (GB) on either their Irish Draught
Breed Registers or Irish Draught Sport Horse Registers. Registration Numbers to be stated on the
entry form.
SHETLAND PONY STUD BOOK SOCIETY
Classes 261 – 268 incl. are confined to registered ponies. Ponies must be named on the entry form
and in the catalogue. Society rosettes must only be given to ponies registered with the Society or
eligible for registration (ie.foals)
Three year old fillies with foals at foot may not be shown. All foals must be a minimum of three
weeks old on the day of the show.
There must be no colts or entire males in Young Handlers classes. Children under 14 years old may
not show colts(excluding foals) or entire males in In Hand classes. Children under 12 yrs old on the
day of the show may not show entire males in ridden classes. In the interests of safety, hard hats must
be worn by all handlers aged 14 years or under in In Hand classes. Exhibitors should not kneel but
remain standing while in the ring. Hard hats must be worn by all exhibitors irrespective of age, in
ridden classes. In ridden classes, if a rider falls off at any time whilst in the ring, both pony and rider
must leave the ring, rider dismounted, and take no further part.

Round Champions will go on to compete at the Olympia Anthony Evans SSADL Supreme Final at
the London International Horse Show in December 2017 . Once a competitor has qualified for the
Olympia Grand Final they may continue to compete at any 2nd Round Qualifiers, but they will NOT
be eligible to enter the Olympia Qualifying Championships. In this instance the second placed
competitor will be eligible for the Championship. Once a competitor has qualified for Olympia in the
Ridden section they are NOT allow to qualify in the In Hand section and vice versa.

(a) For registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points. Four
double clears will qualify - in accordance with rule 310.6
(b) For all registered horses that are seven years or under at the year that the final is
going to be held, irrespective of points. Horses will be eligible for double clear
qualification to attend second rounds providing they reach the age of seven years or
under in the same calendar year as the Foxhunter Final - in accordance with rule
310.6 Four double clears will qualify.
Four Double clears will qualify for the Senior Foxhunter Second Rounds. Qualifying
period: 1st June-31st May inclusive.
Those horses that have qualified for the Senior Foxhunter Championship in 2017 are

Classes 280 to 283 are qualifiers for the Spillers/Equifest In Hand Championship
NPS M&M In Hand Kilmannan Stud Silver Medal Rosette Championship: 1st and 2nd prize
winners from classes 280 – 283 incl from the Mountain and Moorland in hand section
and 1st and 2nd prize winners from classes 262-270 (excluding classes 263 and 269)
from the Shetland section will qualify for the championship.

Classes 276 and 277 are Qualifiers for the BLUE CHIP & IDHS (GB) £2,000 CHALLENGE.
The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from each class will qualify for the Final of the Blue
Chip & IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on
19th – 20th August at Arena UK, Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG32 2EF. N.B: A horse may
only qualify for the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered.
Each qualifier will receive a card and a £10 voucher from Blue Chip. Qualifiers are required to
complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for
the Final. In the Final, the Champion will be awarded £1,000 prize money, a Trophy and a Blue Chip
rug. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 7th inclusive will be awarded £100
each. In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred Irish Draught will be awarded a Trophy and £100 and
the highest placed 158cm (15.2hh) and under will receive a Trophy and £50, the highest placed Sport
Horse will receive a trophy and £50 and the highest placed *Amateur Produced and Ridden Horse
will receive a silver salver and a rug. .
Class 278 is a qualifier for The Moorbennhall Irish Draught Youngstock Challenge
The two highest placed Pure Breds from each age group that have not already qualified will qualify
for the Moorbennhall Challenge - yearlings, two year olds and three year olds eligible for Class 1 on
the Irish Draught Breed Register by an RID (GB), ID Class 1 or ID Class 2 sire out of a Graded* dam
and also two and three year old fillies already Graded will qualify to go forward to the Final which
will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show on 19th and 20th August 2017 at Arena UK,
Allington, Grantham, Lincolnshire, NG32 2EF. Each qualifier will receive a card. Qualifiers are
required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have
qualified for the Final. In the Final, there will be three preliminary classes with the two highest placed
semi-finalists from each class going forward to the Championship where the Champion will receive
£500 and the Reserve Champion £150.”

RIDING PONY/HORSE - LOCAL, for horses/ponies, Pony to be correct height for
the size of the rider. Owners/riders to reside within 15 miles of the Showground (the
onus is on exhibitors to establish the exact distance). This class will be split into
Junior (16 years and under) and Senior (17 years and over) classes if sufficient entries.

This Show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK) (Affiliation Number – 17086).
Both owner and rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony
be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. However in order to qualify both Owner and
Rider/Exhibitor need to be a current showing member and present their valid qualifier card IN THE
RING for signing by the judge. Member to apply in writing to CHAPS (UK) for appropriate qualifier
card. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on 31st August – 2nd September 2017.
Shows held on or after the postal entry closing date of Championship show will count as 2018
qualifiers. The following classes are CHAPS (UK) Qualifiers – 271 – 275 inclusive. For full rulings

All breeding and in hand exhibits must be EITHER already Graded* or eligible for Class 1 on the
Irish Draught Breed Register OR registered on the Irish Draught Sport Horse Register. Registration
numbers to be stated on the entry form and entries will be sent to the IDHS (GB) prior to the Show
to confirm eligibility.
Ridden: Classes 276 and 277 are affiliated to the Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) and only horses
registered with or overstamped by the IDHS (GB) and in the correct ownership are eligible for entry.
Registration numbers to be stated on the entry form and entries will be sent to the IDHS (GB) prior
to the Show to confirm eligibility.
* A GRADED MARE or FILLY is one that has been inspected or overstamped by the IDHS
(GB) and passed into one of the following categories: ID Class 1, ID Class 2, RID, AID or the
Supplementary Grade Up Register.
In the interest of safety, all riders of STALLIONS in classes 276 and 277 must be 18 years of
age or over AND all yearlings, 2 and 3 year old COLTS in class 278 must be bitted and shown
by an experienced handler of 18 years of age or over.
All competing STALLIONS in classes 276 and 277 must be inspected or overstamped by the
IDHS (GB) and classified as RID (GB), ID Class 1 or ID Class 2 OR Irish Draught Sport Horse
and must display a red, white and blue ribbon in their tails. All ridden horses must be 153cm
(15hh) or over.
