DUTY OFFICIALS DUTIES 1. Each host club shall supply at 2 duty official 2. Officials should be neatly attired and must wear the identification supplied by the Junior Rugby League i.e. vest 3. Duty officials will be considered as Officials of the Junior Rugby League and will have the full support of the Junior League. 4. Duty Officials will ensure that the playing area is correctly marked and roped. 5. Duty Officials will ensure that a suitable area is clearly marked and set aside for the “Sin Bin” 6. Duty Officials will ensure that the area set aside for alcohol consumption is clearly defined and supervised. They will supervise that alcohol is consumed in this area only. 7. Duty Officials should ensure that teams, both home and visitors, are allocated dressing rooms and advised of the area set aside for the “Sin Bin”. 8. Duty Officials should identify themselves to the Referee and advise them of their dressing room and the area set aside as the “Sin Bin”. 9. Duty Officials are to deliver the match card to the teams and to ensure that the card is correctly filled out, i.e. the MANAGER to print the players names in the first column and the players to sign in the second column. 10. The Duty Officials will, if requested, check I.D. cards in the presence of both Managers. 11. Duty Officials should be clearly visible at all times. 12. Duty Officials should control and supervise the spectators and supporters. Club Officials should support and assist Duty Officials in this supervision and control. 13. Duty Officials will provide a written report on any incident that requires further action by the Junior League. 14. Duty Officials are to assist the Referee as required. They will escort the referee from the field at half time and full time. 15. Duty Officials are to ensure that the game card is correctly filled in at the completion of the game. The Duty Official that checks this card should print his/her name on the card and sign. 16. Duty Officials will escort players to the “Sin Bin” and remain with the player/s until the time designated by the referee has elapsed. 16.1 Duty Officials are to ensure that players are not harassed whilst they are in the “Sin Bin”. 16.2 Players in the “Sin Bin” can be treated for injuries by qualified personnel. Players may return to their teams at half time. This time is NOT part of the “Sin Bin” time. 17. Duty Officials will obtain from the Referee the Referee’s report on any player sent from the field of play and deliver a copy to the player concerned. This should be done within 20 minutes of the completion of the game.
