ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to any female amateur golfer who has not reached
th
her 16 birthday by July 11, 2017, who has not started college
and is a legal resident of North Carolina or South Carolina.
Entries are subject to rejection at any time, including during the
event, by the CGA or the host club. The reason for rejection may
include unbecoming conduct or cell phone use during a
stipulated round. All players must conform to the “USGA Rules of
Amateur Status” as specified in the “Rules of Golf”. For complete
residency and eligibility requirements, refer to the CGA
Tournament Manual at the CGA website (www.carolinasgolf.org).
ENTRIES
All players must complete an official on line entry form at
www.carolinasgolf.org. Mail-in applications are no longer
accepted for this event. Fax, e-mail, telephone, illegible,
incomplete, or entries received before the opening date and after
the closing date, are not accepted. The CGA is not responsible
for errors or delays by any internet service provider. Entries are
only accepted between the open and close dates as stated
above. The first 72 entries are accepted on a first come, first
served basis according to date and time entry is received by
the CGA. Alternates are ranked in order when entries are
received. Confirmation of acceptance is emailed to players
when their status is determined. Status may be checked at
www.carolinasgolf.org. Players who "Did Not Show" (DNS) or
"No Card" (NC) are suspended from next year’s Carolinas Junior
Girls 15 & Under Championship.
REFUND POLICY
Entry fee refund policy schedule:
Open Date to Day Prior to Championship Date: Full refund minus
$30.00 administrative fee if entry accepted into championship.
Withdraw on Championship Date: No refund for any reason.
Alternates not gaining entry into the tournament receive a full
refund.
RULES
USGA Rules of Golf govern play. Questions will be decided by
the on-site Rules Committee whose decision will be final. Notice
to Players and local rules are posted at host club and distributed
at the starting tee(s). The CGA reserves the right to alter the
conditions or schedules as stated, including alteration of the
stipulated round(s) at any time during the championship. The
competition is closed when the championship trophy has been
presented.
Caddies
Players must walk at all times, but may use a caddie. Caddie
must be 18 years of age or younger, no exceptions. Caddies
must walk at all times. Players may use push carts.
DIVISIONS
CHAMPIONSHIP: Any player (regardless of age) who wants to
compete for the overall Championship. This division will play 18
holes each day at approximately 5,700 yards.
JUNIOR DIVISION: Any player (regardless of age) who wants to
play 18 holes each day, but who does not want to compete from
the Championship tees. This division will play at approximately
5,200 yards.
SUB-JUNIOR DIVISION: Any player who is 12 years of age or
younger (as of the last day of the tournament), and who only wants
to compete for 9 holes each day. This division will play at
approximately 2,400 yards. Players may opt to play in
Championship or Junior Division (18 holes).
CHAMPIONSHIP FORMAT
The Championship and Junior divisions are conducted at 36holes of stroke play. The Sub-Junior division is conducted at 18holes of stroke play (9 holes each day).
PRIZES
Trophies will be awarded to the winners in each division.
