School District No. 5 (South East Koootenay) Transportation District Table Set Up District View > Admin Top Tab > Data Dictionary Side Tab > Reference Tables In order for you to get only the bus tables – create a flilter Click on the Filter button Click on the Bus Table Name? Type in the word Bus and then click the Submit Button Your Working Screen Should look like this. The ones marked Do Not Use are not active Three Tables We Work on include: 1. Bus Number Bus Number – Codes will give you the list of buses in the table In the code view you can treat the information the same as a spreadsheet by using the top yellow lines to to sort how you want. If you want to put the information in a different order you can export the data to an excel worksheet by using the printer icon on the right hand side of the screen and choosing csv. This will create a file that you can read with your excel program. To Modify this list you will click o the blue (Bus Number) to get the Bus Route Field which you will edit (edit information and save) Bus Route Fields 2. This will create a file that you can read with your excel program. To Modify this list you will click o the blue (Bus Stop Code) to get the Bus Stop where you will edit (edit information and save). Remember codes must be unique and not used more than once. Bus Stop Codes Bus Stop Fields Bus Table Reports You can produce “Quick” Reports in any of these bus tables. You should sort the fields into the order that you want the report e.g. Bus Number (code and description both will sort by bus number) or Bus Driver (local) then choose the Report Tab on the left hand side and follow the wizard as you were show during your Basic Navigation Training. Transportation Duties to enter/modify students on bus routes Scchool View Student Top Tab > Bus Information Field Set You can modify all of the information rght on the Student List Screen Options (On the left hand side of screen) Choose > Modify List ( You would click on the little pencil at the top of the list and change the information as required. Remember to save by clicking the little green check mark at the top of the column When you are finished you have to click on the Options > Modify List once more to take the check marks off. Individual Student Bus information can be entered on an idividual student by checking on the blue hyperlink on the student list then you would click on the Buses Top tab as per the screen shot here. Reports District Reports can be made through Quick Reports (as outlined in your Basic Navigation Session – instructions found in the Fundamental’s Resource guide or data can be exported out and managed as you do your spread sheets now. As the bus field sets in the student data are managed by AM/PM Routes these are the way the bus routes would be reported on. These can be developed in the district and/or school view. If you want only the bus students to show up on your reports, you will have to select them and show selected prior to doing your report. In District View > Student Top Tab > You would do a “Query” for the bus route you want to print e.g. if you want the AM Bus Route for your zone (Elk Valley or Cranbrook) - You would click Options > Query > Table > Student Fields > Bus AM Pick Up Operator > Is Not Empty Search Based on > Whatever you called your Zone (Cranbrook Schools) Then Save As (Bus Route AM or whatever you want to call it so you can use the same query again and again > remember to save as a filter as well). You must save before you search or it wil not save Then Search > Results are as show in the next screen shot You can then print the report with only those students reporting on it. You can export the data to an excel worksheet by using the printer icon on the right hand side of the screen and choosing csv. This will create a file that you can read with your excel program as well if you want to do other things with the data.
