Born with cerebral palsy, Alyn Haskey spent the early years of his
life fighting against severe disability, including a severe speech
defect. Then Alyn became a Christian and his life began to
change. Having previously made little progress in school, he went
on to gain a university degree. In addition to his academic
achievements, Alyn represented England and Great Britain in the
Disabled Olympics. However, his first love was always his work for
the Lord and he travelled widely to discuss and share his faith in
Jesus.

Born a free man in New York State in 1808, Solomon Northup was
kidnapped in Washington, D.C. in 1841. He spent the next 12
years as a slave on a Louisiana cotton plantation; during this time

party and managed to get word to his family. The ensuing rescue
