SALISBURY CLASS TRIP TO WIDE HORIZONS ENVIRONMENT CENTRE
Monday 19th June 2017
To link with our summer term wheel “And The Winner Is………”, Salisbury Class are planning a visit to Wide Horizons
Environment Centre. The purpose of this trip is to enrich the children’s learning around this subject. We will be
developing team work skills in a range of outdoor physical activities.
We plan to travel by bus to Barnehurst Station, then by train to Falconwood and will leave school by 9:15am and will
return by the end of the school day.
Your child will need to wear their school uniform and comfortable shoes but will need to be prepared for inclement
weather with a rain coat.
Your child will also need to bring a packed lunch and a drink, which should be in a disposable carrier bag, clearly
labelled with their name. No glass bottles or fizzy drinks please. If your child has a school meal, a packed lunch will
be provided for them, please choose between cheese, ham or tuna on the reply slip below.
In order for this visit to go ahead, we require the agreed contribution of £11.00 per child. Please ensure your
contribution is in a sealed envelope marked “Wide Horizons Trip”, with your child’s name and class.
We also need parent/carers/volunteers to accompany us. If you are able to help, please indicate on the slip below.
Numbers will be limited and if we do receive more offers of help than we need we will pull names from a hat. Similarly
if there are insufficient parent helpers we may have to cancel the trip.
