Slide 8 The New Education Section and Hiring – Faculty ISR Slide 9 Agenda Today, we’ll be taking a look at: The new education section and the Hiring – Faculty ISR. The topics will include: The new education section on all Hire ISRs The new Hiring – Faculty ISR Slide 10 New Education Section Slide 11 New Education Section Recently the new education infotype (9022) was added to the system. In order to make sure this infotype is populated at the time an employee is hired, we are adding a new Education section to ALL Hire ISRs. The new section will be set up as a table to allow the initiator to enter as much education information as they have. Slide 12 New Education Section (cont.) The initiator will be required to fill in the Degree field on the first line, but no other information will be required since not all employees will have multiple lines of information. For any employees with a high school diploma or less there is a selection of No Degree in the Degree field. At the time this new section is introduced, the Highest Degree field will still be on the ISR. It will no longer be required so can be left blank. That field will be removed during the next phase of changes. Slide 13 New Education Section (cont.) The new Education section contains the following fields which match those on the education infotype: Abbreviation Field Name Definition Degree Degree The degree earned. There is an option for No Degree. Deg Yr Degree Year The year the degree was awarded. YrsEd Year of Education Only filled out when No Degree is chosen for Degree. This shows the education attained. The options are: •< 12 yrs High School •College/No Degree •High School/Ged Slide 14 New Education Section (cont.) Slide 16 The New Hiring – Faculty ISR Slide 17 The New Hiring – Faculty ISR The new Hiring – Faculty ISR was created to communicate all hire related activities for all faculty members. The Hiring – Part Time Instructors ISR will be removed from the ISR menu and those hires will now be performed on the Hiring – Faculty ISR. The Hiring – Faculty ISR is identical to the other Hire ISRs except that it contains a faculty data section that will need to be filled out for all faculty hires. The Faculty Data section is identical to the Faculty Data infotype with one additional field called Appt. End Date. This date will be needed for the end date on the Faculty Data infotype. Slide 18 The New Hiring – Faculty ISR (cont.) The New Faculty Data section The new Faculty Data section will contain all of the information needed to populate the Faculty Data infotype. This section will need to be filled out for all hires on this ISR. The fields that are required depend on the Tenure Status entered. A job aid will be posted on the HR Shared Services website to help identify which fields need to be completed. Slide 19 The New Hiring – Faculty ISR (cont.) The new Hiring – Faculty ISR, along with the new Faculty Data section, will allow us to more efficiently hire and capture appointment information on faculty members. We hope all the changes that will be rolling out will continue to make the form more comprehensive and more intuitive. Slide 29 Q&A We’re going to open the phone lines now! There will be a slight pause, and then a recorded voice will provide instructions on how to ask questions over this conference call line. We’ll be answering questions in the order that we receive them. We’ll also be answering the questions that were emailed to us during the presentation. If there’s a question that we can’t answer, we’ll do some research after this session, and then email the answer to all participants. Slide 30 Thank You! Thank you for participating!
