DRAMA WITH WEDGWOOD DRAMA STUDIO

Come explore the Dramatic Arts in a supportive and fun environment! This fun filled class is open to all students
and is focused on creating an original performance. Students will memorize lines, create original characters, and
will use body, voice and imagination and learn what it takes to prepare their work for performance. Whether you
are new to the stage or consider yourself a veteran performer there will be something for everyone in this creative
class. Final performance for the Rogers community will be Monday, November 17.

Engineering Challenge using LEGO®
GRADES: 2-5
MONDAYS: 3:10p – 4:40p, $270 (Participants needed min. 11/ max. 16)

Create a massive machine in the style of a Rube-Goldberg invention. Learn how to build a variety of motorized
devices such as an air compressor, scissor lift invention, and a marble moving crankshaft in this advanced
engineering camp. Then, collaborate in small groups with other engineers to accomplish large-scale missions!
Creativity and collaboration are the name of the game in this camp designed for the hardcore LEGO® enthusiast.

This quarter’s focus will be on Native America Art! Student will do art related to Native Americans from Pacific
NW, SW, Plains, SE and then Thanksgiving in the NW . Mediums will include: Paper Mache, Clay, Transfers,
Drawing etc.Some of the projects are: Totem Poles, Rain Sticks, Cactus, Vests, Collage of Pilgrims and
Native Americans for Thanksgiving.

bridges, mazes and motorized cars, and use special pieces to create your own unique design! Explore the

instructor. This is an ideal way to prepare young builders for the challenge of Engineering FUNdamentals.

Step into the world of science in this new course designed to explore real world science concepts all while getting
to play and create with a variety of art medium! Science meets art in this fun adventure, sure to meet the needs
of inquisitive and creative minds alike. This course is designed to enhance the science concepts learned in
school and to foster the opportunity to see the world through investigation and imagination.
Topics of science (and play) include “All in the DNA”, “Explosions”, “Hey, I Can Build That!”, “Crystal Painting”,
“Who Needs Gravity Anyway”….and MORE!

A limited number of scholarships are available through donations from the Meadowbrook and
Ravenna-Eckstein Advisory Councils. Scholarship preference will be given to those individuals
that a) have qualified via the “Application for Scholarship or Reduced Fees” with Seattle Parks
and Recreation or b) qualify for Free or Reduced Price Meals at school. **Please contact Ryan
