Getting Started Using eBooks on an iOS Device with Axis 360
The following instructions will guide you through the process of downloading Blio onto your iOS device to begin reading
ebooks available from your library and Axis 360.
There are two ways to access and download the Blio Reader app for your iOS device.
 Download Blio from the App Zone on your library’s Axis 360 site
 Download Blio from the Apple store (keyword search for “Blio”)
Open Axis 360 in your iOS device’s web browser and click on the App Zone. Then select Blio Reader.
OR Open the Apple Store and search for “Blio”
When the Blio Reader App appears, click on FREE and then INSTALL APP to download.
Once the Blio Reader has finished installing, click to open the Blio Reader from the Home page
The first time you use the Blio Reader, you will need to create an account. Creating your account authorizes the usage
and display of Blio formatted ebooks checked out from Axis 360. After your first successful log in on Blio, your log in
credentials will be saved, and when opening Blio you’ll automatically be logged in.
Note: When you register for Blio there is a check box to “Receive Email Offers”. Leaving this box checked authorizes Blio
to send you consumer marketing emails from the Blio Bookstore.
Now that the Blio Reader app has been downloaded to your iOS device and your registration is complete, you can begin
searching for ebooks available from your library’s Axis 360 site.
Once a title has been chosen to checkout, select the Blio format option and then click Checkout Now.
Enter in your Library Card ID and Pin. This information should have been provided by your Library.
The first time you log into Axis 360, you will be asked to create an account. This account authenticates usage of Axis 360
ebooks through your Library Card ID. (Your email address is only used for notification of availability for titles put on hold.)
You will then need to enter the Blio credentials that you created earlier. After the first successful log into Axis 360 with
your Blio email and password, this is saved for all future ebooks checked out for Blio.
Now that the Axis 360 and Blio accounts have been added and authorized, Axis 360 will confirm the ebook checkout.
After the Check out is complete, Open the Blio Reader. Click on the cover image to begin reading. Cover images with
the green headphones indicate the title has TTS (Text-to-Speech) available.
Note: To listen to an eBook with TTS on your iOS device, you will first need to purchase a voice through the Apple store.

Return to the Blio
Library.
Enter a bookmark.
Check progress in book; move
easily through pages.
Adjust font size, review
bookmarks, and listen to the
audio track.
Click, hold and then drag to
highlight text.
