Dear Potential Team Captain, Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is challenging you to join us for 2017’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake to start to change the life of a child forever. Community members and businesses are invited to participate in Bowl for Kids’ Sake by entering a team of 4-6 people to bowl on Saturday, April 28th for the 2 hour session, 6pm-8pm. You don’t have to be a great bowler to help us raise funds and awareness. Our program matches youth, ages 6 through 18, with staff-supported, long-term, caring adult mentors throughout Deschutes, Crook & Jefferson Counties. Our “Bigs” and “Littles” spend an average of six to twelve hours a month together in the community participating in activities such as, hiking, biking, arts & crafts, going to movies or simply sitting and chatting. These small acts combined with having caring reliable mentor helps BBBS achieve positive measurable outcomes including educational success, avoidance of risky and delinquent behaviors, improved relationships, higher aspirations and greater confidence. This is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon’s 18th year of Bowl for Kids’ Sake which is our organization’s largest fundraiser. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 to help children facing adversity succeed in school and in life and we cannot make our goals a reality without your support. Please join other business’ and community members support positive futures for kids. No matter how a person is involved (bowler, sponsor, team captain, in-kind donor), he/she helps to start a child on the right path. Enclosed are information sheets on how to get started.
