What is the Core Funding Programme?
The main emphasis of the Fund will be on capital projects that leave
a long term legacy. However, core funding support will be
considered, in exceptional circumstances, to those organisations
that can clearly demonstrate how their activities complement and
deliver on the aim of the Fund.
How much can I apply for?
Core funding of up to £5,000 per annum, up to a maximum of three
years (£15,000).
What is the Aim of the Fund?
To enhance the quality of life for local communities and visitors to
the Borders through investment in the protection, enhancement and
appreciation of the natural, built and cultural heritage of the Scottish
Borders environment.
What are our deadlines for completed applications?
1st September and 1st March.
Who can apply?

focus will be on supporting

and voluntary groups. However, there

Unrestricted reserves are general funds
held by your organisation, unlike
restricted reserves, which have been
provided only for a particular purpose
or project. Applicants with unrestricted
cash reserves well in excess of the grant
requested may be given low priority.
