Forced Perspective

Forced Perspective
What is it??
Remembering our PRINCIPLES of Art and
Photography.....
What is perspective?
Now let’s put that into the world of photography...
FORCED PERSPECTIVE: is a photographic illusion used
to make two or more objects seem to be a different size than their
actual size
.
How does this work?
Your eyes work in tandem to show depth: depth
perception....the camera has only one “eye” and it shows
things flattened out...no depth perception.

Tips on how to:
1. Take the time to set up the shot: planning is key to a
good image
2. Use a tripod or something to support your phone to
reduce the vibration/shake if necessary.
3. Take more than one shot...you may need several to
get the shot you want.
4. USE THE ANGLES AND POSITIONING we
have already learned to help compose your shot.
5. Pay attention to what is all in your frame: distractions
wreck the illusion.
