Spring Fair Update: a. Friday 19th May 2017 b. 5.00pm – 7.30pm c. Theme confirmed as Alice in Wonderland’s – Mad Hatters Tea Party d. KS 1 and KS 2 Entertainment required (JE to chase) e. ‘Mad Hats’ competition and parade: i. JE to find Easter Bonnet info from last Spring Fair for distribution to pupils via book bags. ii. Date for dist – 5th April 2017 f. New Games in progress (TEACHER MANAGED): i. Card Game using LK large set of cards and wooden display. 1. Play your cards right game as before. ii. Alice’s Croquet Game 1. Set Ordered 2. Use artificial grass 3. Most number of hoops done in the time given wins the prize. iii. Locked door/lucky key 1. Still being discussed as to viability/how it will work. iv. Name a white rabbit 1. Rabbit sourced 2. Simple name game v. Cheshire Cat ‘Pin the Grin’ game vi. vii. viii. ix. x. 1. JE has asked if Year 6 can produce the face of the Cheshire Cat – SR confirmed. Mad Hatters Tea Cup 1. Make your own with Marshmallow/Sprinkles and a Rich Tea biscuit. 2. Price dependent on cost of Tell me the Time game 1. Print out pictures of clocks and find them around the school/grounds. 2. Children have a sheet with the clock faces on and have to draw on the time. 3. Laminated clocks 4. Needs pencils/pens 5. Normal 30p a go price 10p roll 1. Picture of a dormouse this time 2. £5 for getting the 10p exactly on the nose. Lucky Dip 1. Folded over bags with the prizes in instead of the lucky dip bins Rabbit ‘dropp-in’game 1. With choc raisins and chopsticks g. External Stalls: i. Facepainter (confirmed JE) ii. Bouncy Castle (confirmed JE) iii. Body Shop (JE) iv. Henna Lady (JB) v. Reclaimed Timber (JB) vi. Little Dotties kids clothing (JE) vii. Partylite Candles (Kate Cowan – school parent responding to message) viii. JB to investigate others vis Stallfinder. h. DJ yes (LK confirmed) i. Other stalls (WASPS/Volunteer MANAGED): i. Sunnyside Garden Centre plants (manned by WASPS) JE in progress. ii. Bar and Refreshments iii. BBQ (Nigel Harrison confirmed) iv. Raffle v. General Tombola vi. Bottle Tombola vii. Canvases 1. LC request to order the canvases viii. Bake Off (Queen of Tarts) 3 categories and must serve 12. 1. BEST CUPCAKE 2. BEST CAKE 3. BEST BISCUIT 4. Parents can choose to enter or not (as some may prefer not to) 5. KD and Cookie to be our judges. 6. Cakes sold afterwards. ix. Eat Me Drink Me stall 1. This will have the Gelsmoor Voucher as a prize for the winner. x. Photo Booth with Alice in Wonderland props 1. Set up in the Studio 2. LK has purchased suitable props 3. £1 a session only and take as many as you like with your own phone 4. Requires a table and backdrop xi. Sweet Stall j. Prize allocation to be via the ticketing system as before. i. JB in progress with purchasing new prizes. 2.) Other: a. Flyer and Posters in hand with LK b. Hall required all afternoon on March 31st if possible (request to be made to MB) c. Volunteers will be needed all day too (volunteer request will need to state this) d.
