Tasks
As Manager Category Cluster Teams you will lead 3-5 category clusters including 10-20 purchasing professionals. A category cluster
team consists of a transactional buyer, buyer/senior buyer and a category manager that also act as the Team leader. The Team is
responsible to both operative as well as strategic deliver a world class purchasing service to HVDC customer projects and R&D
projects within its category cluster scope.
As Manager Category Cluster Teams, you will support the creation of category strategies to ensure optimal result for some of above
stated categories. You will have between 10-20 direct reports including 3-5 Category Managers that act as Team leaders of each
Category Cluster team. You will be part of the global SCM organization management team reporting directly to the Head of SCM
organization.

Requirements
You are an outstanding leader and likes to work and develop people. You will also have a key role interacting with HVDC
stakeholders in tender and project execution, engineering, R&D, general management levels at HVDC and Business Unit/Division
ABB SCM organization. You also likes to set challenging goals and see them be realized.
As Manager Category Clusters Teams, you are genuine interested in technical components and systems. You are a proactive
communicator and likes to interact with people. You are familiar to work in a “large project environment” close to the customer and
have +10 year experience in advanced purchasing and proven leadership experience. You are English speaking and have an
academic degree in business or engineering.
