Level I – Preparation of the Chalice (booklet) Supplies Needed Yellow card stock (standard letter size – 8 ½” x 11”) – 1 sheet Content (see following pages) Black pen Colored pencils Scissors or paper cutter Optional: Printer *Laminator (See Packet Making for more ideas) To Make the Material 1. Copy content onto 1 page of yellow card stock (front and back) Hand draw cover and hand print text (use following pages as a guide) OR, generate printer copies (print page 2 as front and page 3 as back) 2. Cut the yellow printed page in half widthwise (horizontally) to measure 8.5” x 5.5” 3. Then, fold each of these pieces in half vertically to measure 5 ½” x 4 ¼” The drawing goes on the outside cover of the booklet The text goes on the inside of the booklet 4. If you generate a printer copy, use one of the options below (This will make two booklets. One to be used and one to keep as a spare). Option 1: Use the booklet made from the TOP half of the paper a. Color the cover (wine is red; water is very pale blue) b. Hand print the text on the inside page. Option 2: Use the booklet made from the BOTTOM half of the paper. a. Color the cover (wine is red – water is pale blue) b. Trace over the text on the inside page. FAQ: Is it important to use YELLOW paper?
