// is every player's responsibility to be familiar with the rules. Please take a moment to
review a few basic rules of the game:
USGA rules apply. Play the ball as it lies.
If you hit your ball out of bounds or lose it through the green, add a penalty stroke and go back and drop a
ball where you played the previous shot. If the previous shot was played from the tee, you may tee the
ball. If you believe your hall may be out of bounds or lost outside a water hazard, play a provisional
ball before searching for the first one!
If your ball is unplayable (Rule 28) you may, under penalty of one stroke: either a) drop a ball where you
played the previous shot (if played from the tee you may tee the ball) b) drop the ball within two club
lengths no nearer the hole, or c) drop the ball any distance behind the unplayable spot, keeping it directly
between you and the hole. If the ball is in a bunker, you must drop in the bunker under any of these
alternatives.
THE SANDY WASTE AREAS AROUND THE COURSE ARE NOT HAZARDS AND YOU MAY
GROUND YOUR CLUB WITHOUT PENALTY. However, if your ball lies in a bunker, you may not
touch the ground with your club before making a stroke (Rule 13-4). Penalty for breach of rule: Two
Strokes
All players must play the balls where they lie. No moving balls
period. Moving balls will result in disqualification.
You may carry a maximum of 14 clubs only, putter included. Golf ball retrievers do not count as clubs!
All clubs must conform to USGA standards. The use of non conforming clubs will result in
disqualification - Rule 4-1.
