QUICK QUOTES FROM:
RON VLOSICH
ROBERT GIBBONS
MIKE MALASKA
CLEVE COLDWATER
LARRY MIZE
It doesn't take too much, it's pretty much a
fine edge between some really good scoring and
some mediocre scoring, you know, if you're just a
little off.
Q. What's the next event you're looking
forward to?
RON VLOSICH: For me I'm going to go
back and just play in some events around the
Denver area and try to qualify for the U. S. Senior
Open June 29th or something. Try to get in that.
So hopefully I can do that.

AN INTERVIEW WITH:
RON VLOSICH
Q. This was your debut in the Senior
PGA Championship.
How was the overall
experience?
RON VLOSICH: It was great. Yeah, the
course was fabulous, I really liked it. And the
people were wonderful. And it was well run. And it
was just a real pleasure to play in the PGA seniors.
Q. Did you find there was a crowd
rooting for you out there?
RON VLOSICH: Ever once in a while. I
didn't make enough birdies or enough good shots
to really get too many people excited. But, no, I
had a really nice experience.
Q. Your game today was a lot, you
scored a lot better than yesterday. And you
played in the morning yesterday.
RON VLOSICH: Yeah, I played pretty
good today. I just didn't get it in the hole. I shot
2-over and I hit a lot of good shots, but just couldn't
really score. Had some 3-putts and got in some
awkward spots out here.
ROBERT GIBBONS
Q. You made the cut, you're one of the
club pros, you're going to be playing this
weekend. How does that feel?
ROBERT GIBBONS: Very good. I don't
know, my expectations were to play solid and if I
made the cut, that would be great. And it turns
out, it looks like I did.
Q. For a first timer, are you excited?
ROBERT GIBBONS: Very excited. I tried
not to put too many expectations, not knowing
really what to expect. And I played good both
days. Very solid.
Q. What was it like in front of the
crowds today?
ROBERT GIBBONS: It was great. But it
was very nerve wracking, but that's part of the
deal. And probably more nervous tomorrow.
Q.
Did you get into a rhythm on the

course today?
ROBERT GIBBONS: I did. I kind of was
shaky there a few holes, but overall I was pretty
solid for 36 holes.
Q. What are you going to think about
going into tomorrow morning?
ROBERT GIBBONS: The same thing as I
did the last two days, fairways and greens.

AN INTERVIEW WITH:
MIKE MALASKA
Q. What did you think of the week?
MIKE MALASKA:
Well, really good,
except it looks like I'm going to miss the cut by
one.
But the golf course was great and it was a
lot of fun playing it. I played a number of Majors
and I think this course was probably the most fair.
The greens were tough, but you knew where you
had to hit it and they didn't, it didn't get out of
control any place.
So there wasn't anywhere where you
were, you didn't know what you had, there wasn't a
safe place to play to, and the fairways were plenty
wide and it's, it was a great week. I played good it
looks like just one shy of playing on the weekend.
Q. Do you have a take away moment
from the week?
MIKE MALASKA: Oh, well, yeah, I my
daughter caddying for me. My goal was to play
tomorrow, because tomorrow's my 55th birthday
and I thought that that would be a pretty good
birthday present, but just having her here, so being
able to play well with her here caddying, that was a
lot of fun.

AN INTERVIEW WITH:
CLEVE COLDWATER
Q. Talk about your day.
CLEVE COLDWATER: I made a birdie on
the long par-3 13th after a bogey on 12. And I hit it
in there about four feet and made that.
Then on the last hole I got it up-and-down
it seemed like every hole on the front side. And
then I hit one in there like maybe 14, 15 feet on
number nine for my last hole of the day.
Q. Is the course what you expected for
a Senior PGA?
CLEVE COLDWATER: I played it 15
years ago, probably, and I didn't know exactly
where I was going, and I got my targets down a
little bit better, but it's a very demanding golf
course and very, very subtle. Very tricky.
So you had to be in control and I think the
important thing is if you do hit a bad shot you got to
get back on track as quickly as possible.

AN INTERVIEW WITH:
LARRY MIZE
Q. Tell me about your round, you
played pretty consistent, didn't get into too
much trouble.
LARRY MIZE:
Yeah, I played two
consistent rounds, a couple of birdies and a bogey
yesterday and I guess today I had three birdies
and a couple bogeys.
So playing solid and it was just another
good round. I was very pleased with it.
Q. What's been the key? Off the tee,
your iron play, your putting, just a little bit of
everything?
LARRY MIZE: Definitely putting. I think
you got to make a few putts around here and it's
tough putting around here, these greens are
difficult.
So I putted well for the first two days, I've
driven the ball well, and that's a good part for me.
And my irons have been pretty good too. I just,
you know, I hit 13 greens yesterday, I can't
remember how many today, but it's just been pretty
solid all around. And that's what you got to do. It's
a tough golf course out there.
Q. A couple of the players who played

in the morning yesterday pointed out that the
poa annua was really, you could notice the
difference this afternoon from when you played
yesterday morning. Did you find that to be the
case or not?
LARRY MIZE: Yeah, I mean it's, definitely
it should be the case. I had putt on number 5 that
the poa annua might have got me there. So I
would agree to that, yeah, definitely.
Q.
You're in the final few groups
heading into the weekend, what's your mindset
now?
LARRY MIZE: Just got to keep doing the
same thing. Hit the fairways and greens and just
give your self as many birdie putts as you can.
And there's a lot of golf left. And I just want to
keep playing solid and try and be there on Sunday.
