Taking on additional responsibilities outside applicant’s own remit that do
not warrant a post re-evaluation but that improve the service provided by
the Faculty/Directorate.
Suggesting and implementing successful innovative or entrepreneurial
ideas either individually or as a team that significantly improves the service
and/or assists the Faculty/Directorate improve achieving its objectives.
Exceptional quality of work, commitment, flexibility, judgement, sense of
responsibility, willingness, resourcefulness above the normal requirements
of the role.

relevant to the job, upgrading of relevant qualifications, increased
involvement or responsibility, new (additional) duties successfully carried

Delivering and exceptional service (e.g. to students, internal or external
colleagues or to the general public) supported by clear evidence of

Outstanding significant and/or innovative contribution to policy,
organisation, professional activities or project work (e.g. taking a creative
approach to developing new or improved processes, methods, systems,
products or services) depending on the nature of the post.
Sustained administrative and organisational contribution at an unusually
high or complex level (quantitatively or qualitatively).
Outstanding contribution to university wide initiatives such as #DMUlocal,
Squaremile, service to the community/public good, open days, graduation,
etc, outside of the normal role
Outstanding contribution to developing and promoting the international
agenda e.g. through work with #DMUGlobal, or by welcoming and
integrating international students into the university, outside of the normal
role.
Enhancing the student learning experience (e.g. by identifying and
exploiting opportunities to support students’ academic, personal, social and
cultural needs) beyond the normal remit of the role.
Actively promoting or being an ambassador for equality and diversity within
the university outside of the normal role.

Written Submission & Evidence

believe you should be awarded a contribution point or accelerated increment and identify
why you consider you fulfil the criteria you have selected above (as outlined un the
Guidelines for Applicants). Your written submission should not exceed four sides of A4.
As outlined in the guidance notes you should attach to this form a copy of any relevant
evidence (4 sides of A4 maximum), an organisation chart for your department and a
copy of your current job description.
