Tianjin, one of China's four municipalities, Beijing 137 kilometers away from downtown, is a famous international port city and the ecological city.
As with China's fourth largest industrial base and the third largest foreign trade port city, the development of Binhai New Area since 2006 up to the
national policy, re-embarked on a rapid development.Tianjin will host the 2012 Ninth National University Games and the sixth East Asian Games in
2013. As the third foreign trade port, more than 13 million people live and work in Tianjin. There are more than 30 universities and colleges.
Tianjin comprises the 13 districts, three counties (Jinghai County, Ninghe, Jixian). Area of the city are 11,760.26 square kilometers, major religions
are Buddhism religion, Taoism, Islam, Catholicism and Christianity. Tianjin is multiple cultural city with Italy, Germany, France, Russia, Great

Tianjin University of Technology and Education (TUTE) was established in 1979, 110 km near to the capital of
China---Beijing, which is a comprehensive university built by Ministry of Education of China and Tianjin Municipal
Government. This university is called ‘the Cradle of China’s polytechnic teachers’ for its teaching philosophy: to
cultivate ‘bachelor degree plus technician certificate’and integrated polytechnic teachers and advanced technicians.
From 1993, TUTE began to recruit foreign students. In 2006, it has become the university which can enroll
international students with Chinese Government Scholarship. In 2008, the
International School was established, in charge of the enrollment, cultivation, and
management of overseas students. In the same year, International Exchange Centre
was established and put into service, which provided excellent academic environment and living conditions for
international students.
The university has enrolled nearly 1,000 international students from more than 70 countries for short-term and
long-term learning. Now both undergraduates and postgraduates from nearly 20 countries, including Vietnam, South
Korea, Ethiopia, Zambia, Tanzania, etc., are studying in TUTE. In order to enhance our exchange and

Application Documents must be submitted:
The applicants must fill in the form provided by Chinese quarantine authority could be downloaded from http://laihua.csc.edu.cn.
The applicants must fill in and provide the following documents truly, correctly and completely:

- Certificate of be in school (notarized photocopy): Applicants shall provide proof of studying on application. Documents in languages other than
Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
- Academic transcripts (notarized photocopy): Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in
Chinese or English.
- Study or research plan: in Chinese or in English, no less than 800 words.
- Recommendation letters: Two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
- Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (the original copy should be kept by the applicant. The form printed by Chinese quarantine
authority could be downloaded from http://www.csc.edu.cn)： The medical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical
Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed
photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take medical examination as it is valid for only 6 months.
Procedure:
The time of application: from now to the beginning of April, 2014.
Please look for http://laihua.csc.edu.cn , fill in the form, print it out and sign. The code of my university is10066. You’d better post these documents
to TUTE in the middle of April. We will send the Admission Notification and Jw202 Application Form to you for your Visa. The beginning of
September is our winter term of new academic year, you should arrive at China according to the date issued in the Admission Notification.
Facilities in and around Campus
The International Exchange Centre, which began to serve the international students in 2009, is both an apartment and hotel. The international
students can enjoy a level-3 star hotel service in the centre. The apartment building is surrounded by trees and grasses
and easy to access the playground where students can play basketball, football, tennis, etc. There is a service zone for
students inside the campus, including canteen, supermarket, photo shop, bookshop, barbershop, etc. The students can
go to the large supermarkets near the campus, for dining, shopping and entertainment. It is very convenient to take
Tianjin Metro to the downtown. There are also a lot of public buses to the downtown. It only takes 30 minutes by
Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Express from Tianjin to Beijing. It is only 30 minutes’ way to the Tianjin Binhai International
Airport.
