HEAD AND ASSISTANT VOLLEYBALL COACHES (Part‐time, August through October) Linden Hall is the nation's oldest independent boarding and day school for girls. We are looking for a part‐time Upper School Head Volleyball Coach and a part time Middle School Head Volleyball Coach. These non‐exempt positions report to the Director of Athletics. Hours from August through October include preseason practices, after school practices and competitions, travel to away competitions and possibly some Saturday practices or competitions. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Volleyball Coaches are responsible for all facets of a PIAA volleyball program. The coaches will provide guidance and instruction for their team members to grow and improve as people and athletes in a positive and competitive atmosphere, while stressing the importance of teamwork and the process. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS College Degree Federal, State and Child Abuse Background Checks Supportive of the boarding school concept and have a strong sense of commitment to children and enjoyment while being with them. Good physical health needed to fulfill the responsibilities of coaching Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record Flexibility and positive attitude Strong work ethic Good communicator Well organized Team player PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS High School and College Playing Experience Previous Volleyball Coaching Experience Experience working with young people in grades 6‐12 Cross‐cultural experience.
