HOW DOES IT WORK?
1.
1. EJHS baseball players seek pledges for the
event. (Donations should be in the form of a check
made out to Evans Baseball) Any and all
donation amounts are appreciated. Even if a
player is unable to attend this event, we would
like him to be a part of the fundraising bringing
in monetary pledges would be greatly
appreciated. Money earned will go to the baseball
program for equipment and improvements.
2. Anyone can sign up to participate in the
home run derby. Players, Dad, Mom, siblings,

Entry Fee to the Home Run Derby is a minimum $25 donation.
Our goal is that each family bring in $50 in entry fees or
donations. But more would be amazing!
If a player wishes to enter the derby for a second round, the cost
will be $10.
Any non-Evans student participant will be required to complete a
waiver form at registration.
There will be 2 divisions: 17 years old and under, 18 years old
and up.
Balls will be provided. Players may use their own bats.
Batting order will be randomly selected.
All balls will be pitched by a Lite-Flite machine.
Each participant will receive one point for each home run hit over
the fence in fair territory.
Each swing not resulting in a home run will be referred to as an
out. (A missed swing, foul ball, or tip is counted as a swing.)
The batter may elect to not swing at a pitch without penalty.
Each batter will hit until he has recorded five outs.
Home Plate will be located at 2nd base.
In the event of a tie, all tied participants will take place in a
“swing off” – where they will each receive one “out”.
The participant (s) with the most points after the “swing off”
will be the winner.
