Step 1 - Innisfil Public Library

Using
eAudiobooks
Have a smartphone or tablet? Use the Overdrive Media Console app instead – see
http://www.innisfillibrary.ca/ebook-help for mobile device tip sheets. Everybody else: read on!
Step 1: Go to http://www.innisfillibrary.ca/ebooks.
The first time you visit, check the Get Started Guide to make sure your
device will work with the library’s collection.
Click on either the Libraries on the Go or PULSE button and click Sign In.
Step 2: Search or browse for the title you want. A black picture of
headphones in the corner means it is available to borrow; a grey
picture means the audiobook is checked out.
Hover your mouse over the cover to borrow the book or
place a hold. Click on the Bookmark icon to add it to your
Wish List to read later, the Share icon to share on Facebook, Pinterest, etc., or the More
icon to get more information on the title. You may take out ten items at a time from
Libraries on the Go and five items at a time from PULSE.
Step 3: When you are ready to check out, click the Account
icon to see your Bookshelf. If you have not done so already,
click the Overdrive Software Resources button to download
Overdrive for Audiobooks. For each item you have
borrowed, click Download.
Step 4: If your audiobook does not open automatically and prompt you to save it, go to
your desktop and click on the Overdrive Media Console icon. Click on your eAudiobook
to highlight it and then click Play. You can now enjoy your eAudiobook on your
computer.
Step 5: To transfer your eAudiobook to your device, plug your device into the computer, open
Overdrive Media Console, click on your eAudiobook, then click Transfer.
Note: You do not need to download everything right away; you can log back in anytime during your
loan period and click on Account to resume downloading.
Books will automatically expire at their due
date, but if you wish to return your
audiobook early, open Overdrive for
Audiobooks on your computer, click the
Delete button, and then click Return/Delete.
