All schools – public, private or independent are welcome to
participate.

Approximate Scheduling
Under 19 Girls Singles 8.30am
Under 19 Girls Doubles 10.00am
Under 19 Boys Singles 11.30am
Under 19 Boys Doubles 1.00pm
Under 15 Girls Doubles 2.30 pm
Under 15 Boys Doubles 3.30 pm
Play is expected to commence as per the schedule and conclude at approximately
5.30pm. Players will be expected to be in the venue approximately 15 minutes prior
to the schedule start of their matches for the duration of there event which will
depend on entries but should be finished in 1.5 hours to 2 hours.
ENTRY FEES:
$5 per player per event
All players will need to pay their entry fees as they enter the venue.
Ages will be as at 31/12/2016. For example if you turn 14 in 2016 you can play Under
15. If you turn 15 in 2016 you will need to play Under 19.

CONDITIONS OF PLAY
1. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to amend or add to these conditions
as may be necessary and to cancel any event for which there are insufficient
entries.
2. All matches will be played using the round robin format i.e 1 game to 21 points
without setting using the rally point scoring system. Finals will be held where there
are more than two groups and will also be 1 game to 21 points using the rally point
scoring system without setting.
3. Feather shuttles will be used exclusively throughout the Tournament.
4. Any player participating in the tournament must, when called upon, act as a court
official as required.
5. Players must be attired in clothing of their school.
6. If the Tournament is interrupted for any reason (power failure etc.) the Tournament
Committee reserves the right to postpone any, or all events until such time or date
they consider suitable, or to abandon matches or events.
7. ALL decisions of the Referee (or the responsible official for the time being) are
FINAL.
8. Local conditions: It will be a fault if, in play, the shuttle hits the roof or other part of
the hall structure.
9. Ages will be as at 31/12/2016. For example if you turn 14 in 2016 you can play
Under 15. If you turn 15 in 2016 you will need to play Under 19.
10. Players that have represented Qld Badminton Association or another State
Association in a State Junior Team in 2014 or 2015 are not permitted to play.
11. In order to play in the tournament both players in a doubles combination
must be from the same school.
12. Players are permitted to play in one age group only (i.e there age group or one
higher).
13. Schools are permitted a maximum of 6 players (in singles) in Under 19 or 6 pairs in
Girls doubles or 6 Boys doubles pairs in any age group.
14.By entering this event, the player hereby agrees and acknowledges that the
ORGANISERS OF THE EVENT, SCHOOL OFFICIALS/COACHES AND
SPECTATORS shall have the right to photograph any games or practice conducted
during the course of the event, retain such photographs for their own use of
whatsoever nature, distribute such photographs to any other party, display such
photographs during the event or any time thereafter, in any form whatsoever (including,
but not limited to: promotional displays of the organisers and at any similar event,
social network internet sites, the website(s) of the Brisbane Badminton Association/Qld
Badminton Association PROVIDED THAT no such photographs shall be used or
retained for any illegal immoral or unseemly use or purpose. NO VIDEO FOOTAGE
AT ALL WILL BE PERMITTED TO BE TAKEN DURING THIS EVENT
