Diane Cross, formerly a casino manager in Blackpool, will take the reins at the Genting Club as general manager. She said: “It will not just be a casino – we are developing a complete leisure venue for Derby. “Our aim is to provide an all-round entertainment experience for people of all ages. “People can have a flutter if they want but there will be no obligation to gamble.” A casino has been earmarked for the £100 million Riverlights complex since the idea was first mooted over a decade ago. Work is currently taking place to fit out the interior of The Genting Club.
