Ari Sutanti
Projects Manager
British Council Indonesia
Ari Sutanti (Ari) joined the British Council Indonesia since mid 2006 and right now she
holds the position as Projects Manager for projects under Social Development Unit
such as Governance Project, Community Development Project and Climate
Projects. Her previous careers were with World Bank (2005 – 2006) as Social Development Specialist to conduct
research, monitoring projects and implementation of trust fund and writing publications. She worked as
Consultant for World Bank Project of National Anti Poverty Programme in Rural Area (2001 – 2004). She was
also a journalist for Voice of America responsible for reporting, writing a report and broadcast it. Ari was also
one of Indonesia Youth Delegate for Youth Conference on Social Development (1998) in Japan. She was
graduated from University of Indonesia in 1998 and received her bachelor degree in Mass Communications.
She was then awarded British Chevening Award (2004-2005) to continue her Master degree at University of
East Anglia, Norwich, UK on International Relation and Development Studies.
Charles Oskar Makikama

Charles Oskar Makikama (Charles) has been working with PT Bank Negara Indonesia
(Persero) Tbk since 1996. He started his career in the bank as Marketing Officer. He
graduated from Faculty of Economics Sam Ratulangi University, Manado and finished his
master degree on Agribusiness Management from Insitut Pertanian Bogor. He holds Six
Sigma Black Belt certificate and Examiner for Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance
Excellence. Although he spent most of his career in banking industry but he found that
environmental protection activities are also important. He is active in reforestation activities, waste-free
campaign, the campaign against the hunting of “Yaki Hitam” (Macaca nigra) on the peninsula of North
Sulawesi and he once even joined rangers patrol to prevent illegal logging and hunting protected animals.
Charles is currently member of Corporate Sustainability Team of BNI.
Gita Meidita
Program Officer
Yayasan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan
Gita started to join Yayasan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan in September 2007 as Program
Officer. Gita’s responsibilities include the preparation of LEAD Associate Training program,
the execution of Developing Sustainable Business project, and develop a new project on
Climate Smart Leaders for year 2009. Before joining YPB - a graduated from Political
Science University of Indonesia - started her experiences working in a non-government
organization called NADI (Natural resources and Development Initiatives) in 2002 as an intern/volunteer for six
months and became program officer for mining and energy division until 2005. Then she took the challenge of
becoming an intern in a regional women organization based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, called Asia Pacific
Forum on Women, Law and Development, and spent seven months there doing research on the impact of
globalization to women and environment and assist the organization organized an International Conference
on Women Human Rights Defenders. In 2006-2007 she joined The British Council as the Project Supervisor of
Global Xchange Programme - an exchange of volunteers from Indonesia and United Kingdom program
supported by the British Council Indonesia and Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO) UK (2006-2007).
Harnaka Harto

Harnaka Harto (Harnaka) is President Director of an information technology company – PT
Pundi Artha Setia – focusing on Application Development and customization in banking
industry such as Bank Permata, Bank Indonesia, Bank Sinar Mas, Citibank, Standard
Chartered Bank, etc. He joined the company in 2009. Before that, he was with PT
Anantayasa Teknokriya Persadanet (PT ATNET) – a sister company of PT Mitra Integrasi
Komuputindo (PT MIK) that focuses in payment industry, switching and electronic delivery
channel. He was assigned as Director of Operational. In 2001 – 2003, Harnaka was appointed to become
General Manager for Operation and Marketing in one of IBM Join Venture Company PT MIP and its business,
including handle services for IBM Products, IBM Peripherals, etc and also with EPSON Indonesia. As EPSON
Partner that operate the services outlet, sales forces, and provide the services organization the support EPSON
after sales services. And PT MIP has helped EPSON Indonesia to operate 25 branches of services all over
Indonesia. Harnaka holds a bachelor degree in Electronics and Computer Engineering from Institut Teknologi
Bandung in 1990 majoring in Computer and Electronic Systems.
Irma Winda Lubis
Independent Consultant and Motivational Trainer
Irma Winda Lubis (Winda) is a house wife with three children and support
environmental awareness in her neighborhood with various projects. In 2009 she
attended Landscape and Gardening Training from local city office for community
initiators in supporting many initiatives in localities. The following year, she gives
Motivational Training Environment Awareness for housing developer and its residents
especially garbage collector, gardener, house wife and children where she took
the responsibility to motivate people keeping healthy environment. She also serves as coordinator for marginal
children in Pulo Gadung, Jakarta. There, her role is to facilitate marginal children under Sanggar Roda – a
community children center – in Pulo Gadung Bus Terminal by organizing its activities to support their talented
musical interest and to encourage them to continue basic formal education. She was successfully engaging
them with many organizations in art & music performance to raise education fund such as British Council,
Depdiknas, Indonesian Heritage, AusAid and others companies. She stressed some basic important values to
the group such as integrity and trustworthiness and the importance of keeping healthy environment and
preserving traditional musical instruments. Winda holds her bachelor degree from Gunadarma University in
Informatics Management in 1994. She also met the entire requirement of 45-hour course in school age
development and curriculum from Montgomery Child Care Association Training Institute, USA in 2005.
Ismarini Ismail

Ismarini Ismail (Ismarini) serves PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk since 1996 as
Relationship Manager. Her responsibilities include maintain and achieve certain target of
Institutional Funding, explore, probe and propose financial solution for cash
management purpose of corporate clients. Before she joins BNI, Ismarini worked with PT
Pan Indonesia Bank as SOP Analyst (1995 – 1996); PT Asian Development Securities (1995)
and KAP Yusuf Chandra (Public Account Firm) in 1994. She holds her bachelor degree
from Faculty of Economics Universitas Sriwijaya, Palembang majoring in Accounting in
1995. And in 2006 she has been awarded the degree of Master of Arts in programme of International Business
from Leeds Metropolitan University, UK. Ismarini is currently member of Corporate Sustainability Team of BNI.
Leonard Tiopan Panjaitan

Leonard Tiopan Panjaitan (Leo) has been working in PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero)
Tbk (BNI – State-own bank) since 1997. He currently holds a position as analyst in BNI Credit
Card Division. He was graduated from University of Indonesia in 1999, majoring on Business
Administration at Faculty of Social and Political Sciences. Working in banking industry does
not limit his passions to environmental issues in regards to implementation of concept of
sustainable development in Indonesia. Together with his friends whom he has the same views on
environmental issues and to express their interest and hopes about Indonesian environment, he developed
Indonesian Green Citizen Community in 2008 – a website that provides discussion forum for not only about
forest conservation and variety of species but also covers some topics such as green living style, bike to work
activities, a biopore hole in the house yard, tree planting, using recycled products, planting trees project and
so on. Leo is currently member of Corporate Sustainability Team of BNI.
Miranti Triana Zulkifli
Planning Staff

Miranti Triana Zulkifli (Miranti) is currently working in National Development Planning
Agency (Bappenas) as Planning Staff (since 2009). Her role is to assist on analyzing and
producing the development policies, coordinating the development planning to partner
institutions, assist in developing national development planning book, evaluating and
monitoring the development implementation especially in the forestry and water resources conservation
sector. Before she works with Bappenas, Miranti worked with PT Procon Indah Jakarta – for updating property
data base for valuation process and research specialized on residential and industrial sectors. She was also an
undergraduate research assistant on the research division of policy planning and development
management. She holds her bachelor degree from Urban and Regional Planning Department – Institute
Technology of Bandung in 2007.
Mita Julinartati Sirait
Program Officer
Yayasan Tirta Lestari (Watsan Action)
Mita Julinartati Sirait (Mita) is an active young leader. She works at Yayasan Tirta Lestari
(Watsan Action) as Program Officer. Her areas of specialties are program management,
solid waste management, household water treatment, water and sanitation, community
development and recycled produc community – based business. Her responsibilities in
Yayasan Tirta Lestari includes mobilize community and stimulate household knowledge
about solid waste management; stimulate domestic trash separation practice and
composting to reduce environmental pollution; develop recycled product business and community skills
related, and facilitate trainings to pursue program sustainability; conduct green and clean project to improve
environmental condition in the community; managing environmental community events etc. She was
awarded ILYMNA Award in 2009 by the Ministry of Environment and TRAX FM Radio for Young People who put
efforts in bringing changes to a better environment. She is also awarded as Young Social & Eco Entrepreneur
2009, for creating and developing recycled product business with slum communities in Jakarta. She is the 2008
British Council’s International Climate Champion because of her role as young leader who actively conduct
real actions with community in combating climate change. Mita holds her Bachelor of Science degree on
Geography, Specialization and Remote Sensing, Faculty of Geography, Universitas Gajah Mada, Yogyakarta.
Nana Fitriana Firman
Policy Advocacy Coordinator
Citizens Coalition for Jakarta 2030
Nana Fitriana Firman (Nana) is an active person in urban planning and sustainable cities
issues. She is an Eco-Fabulous Guru for Independent Knowledge-Worker where she
presents climate crisis and action related issues while advocating sustainability for better
future. In her past career, she was involved in WWF Indonesia as Technical Advisor for
Sustainable Cities where she was responsible for developing a study to identify any major
potential savings and renewable of energy and lever for Greater Jakarta as well as any possible improvement
on energy consumption. She was also responsible for managing Green Reconstruction Initiatives and good
governance on natural resources management, and other projects with WWF Indonesia during post-tsunami
recovery period. Previous joining WWF-Indonesia, she had a series of professional experience in the field of
urban design and regional planning during 1998-2003 with a score of private consulting firms. Yet, she also
managed to live creatively by taking a year time off in 2004 to become an Art Director in film making and
produced a few TV series and TV commercials. Since 2009, she has become a member of The Climate Project
Indonesia – team of presenters specially trained by Al Gore for climate change related issues. Her passion for
sustainable urban development and her concern for the future of the nation’s capital has inspired her to bring
together some concerns citizens of Greater Jakarta at the end of December 2009 to form a “Citizens Coalition
for Jakarta 2030” demanding the city authority for public participatory and transparent process towards
Jakarta spatial plan of 2010-2030. The Coalition also has a mission to increase public awareness at the
grassroots level on the importance of community participation and strategic environmental assessment on the
spatial planning process. She sincerely hopes that the Citizens Coalition in Jakarta will inspire other citizens of
Indonesian cities to organize a similar awareness/movement. Currently, Nana is an independent urban
sustainability specialist and has given her assistance to civil societies on Climate Change
Adaptation/Mitigation and Disaster Resilience Program Design as well as to government institutions on
National Urban Strategy and Policy Development. Nana holds her Bachelor of Science degree from University
of Bridgeport USA in 1995 majoring in Industrial Design and her Master of Science degree on Urban Design
from Pratt Institute, USA in 1997.
Paramita Mentari Kesuma
Corporate Engagement Officer
WWF – Indonesia
Paramita Mentari Kesuma (Mentari) works for World Wide Fund for Nature-Indonesia since
2008 as Corporate Engagement Officer in the Governance, Community & Corporate
Engagement Unit. Her responsibilities include develop strategy for corporate sector
transformation within corporate engagement activity, based on WWF national sector and
commodities transformation strategy; develop good relationship with government
institutions, private sectors and other institutions related to corporate engagement; and
manage proper information, communication and publication materials as well as corporate
engagement website to support campaign targets and to be used in marketing, fundraising and education
activities. Prior being an environment activist in the midst of business world, her previous professional work was
in fact, not other than the private sector itself. She was an auditor of Deloitte Indonesia, Enterprise Risk Services
(2007-2008), providing long-term risk management services for clients of leading banking & finance corporate,
such as Bank Mandiri, Bank Rakyat Indonesia, & Prudential Life Assurance. Back in college, she conducted
researches with Bank Indonesia analyst. She was also awarded as Miss Indonesia Earth – Water 2008 and
worked with Miss Indonesia Earth Foundation (2008 – 2009), which is affiliated by DPR-RI, Conservation
International, WWF, UNEP, and KLHI, where she holds her responsibilities in developing and implementing
environmental campaign programs and be the national spokesperson for current environmental issues
in various agendas to diverse audience groups across the nation. Previous to that, Mentari was awarded as
one of the Youth Ambassadors of DKI Jakarta Province, Kepulauan Seribu District 2005 (2005-2007), working
side by side with the Governor & his lign, ministries and Indonesia legislative members in promoting Jakarta
and Indonesia. Additionaly, she also had the opportunity to be the host of Jejak Petualang show of Trans7
(national TV) where she also perform research, write scripts & be the spokesperson of environment & ecotourism issues across the fans and conservationist network. Mentari obtained her double degree on Bachelor
of Commerce degree from Bina Nusantara International University and Curtin University of Technology, Perth,
Australia in 2007, under an entry scholarship from Binus University. She was also a scholarship recipient from
Singapore International Foundation for 2-year education in Singapore (2000).
Rahimah

Rahimah is experienced in working with wide range of multiple stakeholders include
with civil society and government. Extensive experienced program manager
including financial management and facilitation in project design. She is now working with Norwegian
embassy as Advisor for development cooperation in the issue of Human Rights, Gender and Climate Change
Energy. Previously She worked at British embassy office in Jakarta as Project Manager of Climate Change &
Energy and Economic Governance Programs. She is responsible for development, coordination and
management of SPF (Strategic Programme Fund) Climate Change/Energy and Economic governance
programs and projects to contribute to delivery of SPF objectives. The task has required an extensive project
management and analytical skills in developing project innovation. She was the Country Coordinator for
Indonesia Projects of Terre des Hommes Germany (2002 – 2006) where she coordinated with project partners
of tdh Germany, potential project partners and other organizations involved in development, relief, bio &
cultural diversity, gender and human rights issues in Indonesia. She was also an Administrator for Medicins du
Monde-France – a French nonprofit organization work on the issue of health. Rahimah holds her Master of Art
degree in Development Studies at Institute of Social Studies, specialization on Rural Livelihoods and Global
Change, The Hague, Netherland (2007).
Ranidia Leeman

Ranidia Leeman (Rani) works for Holcim Indonesia on the Business Development arm for
Marketing and Innovation through Sustainable Construction approach. She was in
charge with Sustainable Jakarta Convention – a platform for Jakarta stakeholders to
collaborate in realizing sustainable projects in Jakarta; Megacity Jakarta – a study in
identifying the challenges and opportunities and impact for cement company to be
able to sustain their business in megacities; Ecohome – an ecological and economical
housing solution for middle-up segment. Before Holcim Indonesia, Rani worked for SMC Alsop, Singapore (2007
– 2008) an award winning international architecture and urban design firm with global office in London,
Singapore, Shanghai and Beijing as Senior Design Architect; ARC Studio Architecture+Urbanism, Singapore
(2005 – 2007) as Architect; and other architectural works. Rani holds her Master of Arts degree on Emergent
Technologies and Design from Architectural Association School of Architecture, UK (2004) and her Bachelor of
Architecture from Parahyangan Catholic University, Indonesia (2002).
Rika Lestari

Rika Lestari (Rika) works at PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk since 2002. She started her
career in Ancol as Public Relation Staff at Corporate Secretary Dept in 2002 – 2005. Then
she was rotated as Community Development Staff at the Corporate Plan Dept in 2005 –
2008. And since 2008 she serves as Community Development Manager. Currently, she is
working with several projects engaged with local community and youth, such as: Ancol Sayang Lingkungan
(Started in 2003, organic and non-organic waste management program engaged with local community to
create products with economic value – achieved Kehati Award in 2006 and as nominee of Danamon Award
in 2007), Sekolah Rakyat Ancol (scholarship for drop out student from low class society, especially at
secondary level) and Teens Go Green (started in 2008, the program aims to create agent of change from
high school students to improve quality of environment). Rika holds her bachelor degree from Universitas Prof.
DR. Moestopo (Beragama) Faculty of Communication, majoring in Public Relations in 2001.
Sakariza Qori Hemawan

Sakariza Qori Hemawan (Riza) has served PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BNI state-own bank) since 1996. He started his career in BNI as Credit Analyst for Middle Market
at BNI’s region office in Medan (North Sumatera) by previously receiving Master Degree
Scholarship from BNI, focusing on Finance at Gadjah Mada University. In 2004, he was
transferred to BNI Jakarta Head Office, serving at Financial Services and Investment Division,
Loan Corporate II Division, Institutional Fund and Financial Services Division. Then, since 2005, he has assigned
as a Manager of Business Research & Economy – Strategic Planning Division. In doing his job, Riza is always
passionate on issues related to business and sustainable development. Besides holding a master Degree, Riza
also holds Bachelor degree from Gadjah Mada University faculty of Geography with concentration on
Geomorphology and Land Resources. Riza is currently member of Corporate Sustainability Team of BNI
Shintia Dian Arwida

Shintia Dian Arwida (Tia) works with Aliansi Organis Indonesia/VECO Indonesia as
GreenTrust and Petani Magazine Coordinator since January 2010. Aliansi Organis
Indonesia (AOI) is a non-profit and independent civil society organization with legal
standing. Its works focus on organic farming and fair trade movement. Tia’s main duty is to
manage the production process of both magazines. With tagline: green, organic, and
sustainable, GreenTrust Magazine focus on green lifestyle issue and is positioned as an “alternative reading”
for urban people. While Petani Magazine is aimed to disseminate knowledge about sustainable/organic
agriculture to small scale farmers throughout Indonesia. Before AOI, Tia was Coordinator of SALAM magazine
(2007 – 2009) at VECO Indonesia. VECO Indonesia is an INGO works on sustainable agriculture chain
development and serves mainly eastern part of Indonesia. During this period, she managed the production of
free magazine which is aimed to disseminate knowledge on Low External Input and Sustainable Agriculture
(LEISA) especially for readers in eastern part of Indonesia. She was Senior Journalist and editor at Tabloid
Rumah (2002 – 2006) and Journalist of Tabloid PCPlus (2001 – 2002) at PT Prima Infosarana Media – Elex Media
Komputindo - Kompas Gramedia Group. Tia was graduated from Bogor Agriculture Institute (IPB) in 2000
majoring on Landscape Architecture. She then received Stuned Scholarship from Netherlands Education
Centre in 2004 to pursue her master degree on Leisure, Tourism, and Environment (minor degree Environment)
at Wageningen University, Netherlands and graduated in year 2006.
Susy Rizki Sadikin

Susy Rizki Sadikin (Susy) serves the Ministry of Environment Republic of Indonesia since 1999 as
a Policy Analyst on Environmental Economics. In 2000 she was appointed as Head of Section
for Economic Instrument, Deputy for Environmental Economics & Social Affairs. In 2002 she
was rotated as Head of Section for Urban Community and Business Partnership, Deputy for
Community Role Development where she was responsible for raising awareness & empowering urban
community in environmental management, especially for business community, NGO, press and community
groups. Since 2007 until now she works as Head of Subdivision for Environment Caucus where she is responsible
for raising awareness, build capacity and support legislative as well as political parties on environmental issue.
Susy holds her Master of Science degree on Sustainable Procurement from Universita degli Studi di Torino, Italy
in 2008. She holds her Bachelor Degree on Business Management from Universitas Parahyangan, Bandung in
1991 and she continued her Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Studies from Macquarie University,
Sidney, Australia in 1996.
Sinta Kaniawati
General Manager Unilever Indonesia Foundation (PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk)
Sinta Kaniawati (Sinta) completed her degree in Agriculture Institute in Bogor, prior to that
she participated in AFS exchange program for a year to United States. She also selected
amongst Indonesian youth to be part of International Trade and Commerce Exchange –
by United States Information Service. Thereon, she decided to build her professional
career in corporate world and joined Unilever Indonesia in 1990. Her corporate career
started as management trainee and now has reached senior management level. She
had experiences in various field of sales, market research and marketing for nation-wide brands such as
Sunsilk, Pepsodent, Citra, Rinso, Surf, Lux, Lifebuoy and Walls. Her current role is as General Manager of Unilever
Indonesia Foundation. She leads the foundation since 2007 and has been continuously building momentum in
many community development programs in Environment, Sustainable Agriculture and Health Promotion
Program. Furthermore, embracing new stakeholders to strengthen The Foundation program. The team has
successfully achieved many recognition during 2007 – 2009 such as The International Business Award 2009
Stevie Award winner as Environmental Responsibility Program of the Year on TRASHION: Adding Value to
Chain of plastic waste, Winner of the Asia Responsibility Entrepreneurship Awards (AREA) Indonesia 2009 on
TRASHION program, MDG Award in Environment by leading news TV Station; Green Apple Award (Gold
Award on Best Practice) for Surabaya Green & Clean Program; Best CSR from Business Week Magazine and as
Finalist of 2008 International Business Award – Stevie Award of Best CSR Program in Asia – Australia – New
Zealand for Black Soya Bean Farmer Development Program) and Indonesian CSR Award 2008 for 1st WinnerSocial on Public Health Education, 2nd Winner – Environment on Jakarta Green and Clean, 3rd Winner –
Social Economy on Black Soya Bean Dev. Also, the Public Health Education Program as the Winner of MDG
Award 2009 on Improve maternal health. The Foundation long commitment was also recognized in 2010 by
SWASEMBADA for encouraging the Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurship. More involvement in CSR has led her
to also serve in various organizations as IBL (Indonesian Business Link) Board of Management, Coordinator for
resource development of Indonesian National Platform on DRR, Growing Inclusive Market member of
Indonesian Global Compact Network. Despite all activities in her professional world, she is currently active and
involve in many social organization such as Bina Antar Budaya (AFS and intercultural exchange program as
board member, volunteer and trainer); Toastmaster International as Club President, Area Governor and
Mentor); in House Trainer (Leadership & Management Modules, Sales Modules, Communication – Public
