I always come back inspired and refreshed after hanging out with a
bunch of glass store owners. We laugh, learn, and have a lot of
fun. This year the new owners of Spectrum and Uroboros will be
attending along with several manufacturers. They will get us up to
speed on the latest and greatest!
Enjoy your weekend.

GLASS AND CANVAS - EMERALD CITY $80.00
Just for Fun!
Where will the Yellow Brick Road lead you? Whether it's to the
gates of Emerald City or an Enchanted Forest, we're sure you'll
have fun creating it here. We will be using glass and canvas to
create these wonderful three dimensional compositions. We will
be working on a 9 X 12" canvas with a pre-painted background!
We did these backgrounds with an acrylic finger-painting
technique. We added glass and other found items, and created a
hi-gloss finish that stabilizes your artwork and looks like glass.
You will do the artwork by gluing your items onto the canvas, and
we REALLY encourage you to bring any found items, buttons,
costume jewelry, pebbles, beads, shells, coins, trinkets, etc, as
personal heirloom embellishments.
We are including the pre-painted canvas, scrap glass, wiggles,
beads, frit, glass globs, instruction, and we will pour your hi-gloss
material after your glue dries. The project can be picked up the
following Saturday. These projects were chosen so you will become familiar with the process, and
have the confidence to do more elaborate works at home.
Saturday, July 22nd @ 11:00
Class runs about three hours
FUSED BIRCH TREES $95.00
Just for Fun!
Create a 8 x 12" birch tree scene on a dark
background and watch the magic happen. You can
choose the season just by switching up the colors of
the falling leaves. You will learn a couple
techniques for coloring the trunks and the
background to acquire the illusion of depth. These
panels are not quite full fused so as to keep their
texture! They may be displayed on a table or plate
stand. This project is so cool that some people are
doing it more than once! All materials and one firing included. We will have fun!
Saturday, June 10th @ 1:00 - FULL - Call to be added to wait list
Thursday, July 13th @ 6:00
BRANCH OUT - TREE OF PIECES $85.00
Just for Fun!

pieces of fusible glass that we have at the bottom of our class bin. We
will provide all the materials, give you some sample patterns, and guide
you thru the process. We will fire your 10 " round project. Stand not
included.
Thursday, June 15th @ 6:00
INKING AROUND - FUN WITH ALCOHOL INKS $65.00 for three tiles
Just For Fun!
In this "Just for Fun" class, you'll learn the basics of how
to use alcohol inks in a variety of ways. Melissa has spent
many hours testing, learning, testing, and learning, so she
can point you in the right direction on your Ink
journey. She shares the tricks, and the No No's to help
you be successful without spending a huge amount of
money! You will use ceramic tiles to create three
examples of this beautiful art and will have
the knowledge to continue creating your own artwork at
home. We will have frames and display items for
purchase if you wish to show off your work! We can also resin your tiles for an extra $5.00 per

CREDIT CARD INFORMATION
I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate all of you that have been paying with cash or
check. Those of you that are in business for yourselves know that the credit card industry is changing
out their cards to accept chip security protection, As a result, small businesses like us are having to
purchase really expensive machines, pay insurance and compliance fees, access fees, and also the
swipe fees and percentage charges for every card, including debit cards.
The burden for small businesses is very high, in comparison to the larger, high volume big box
retailers. Many of the larger retailers are just raising their prices, sometimes up to 5%, in order to
mitigate all the fees.
Any time you pay with cash or check, you help us hold pricing at current margin levels. Don't worry,
for your convenience, we will continue to accept cards, but hope that you will think of us ahead of
time. The more we reduce our merchant service fees, the longer we can hold prices. Thanks!
FACEBOOK
If you use Facebook please check us out. We post photos of interesting things,
and great projects. Often our customers send us photos of some of their own
designs, and we love to feature them.
