The Baseball Statistics System
Version 5.6
The application was created by Randy Myers and it utilizes the Lahman Baseball Database. It
is freely distributed; fees or charges of any kind are prohibited. Modifications of any type to the
application are strictly prohibited. It is distributed AS IS and therefore no warranties expressed
or implied are included with this product.
It took hundreds of hours to create The Baseball Statistics System. I do not require any fees;
however I do accept donations as compensation for all my hard work. Please send donations to

The system is available in two versions, one for computers with Microsoft Access 2007
installed and the other that can be used as a standalone product.
1) If you have Microsoft Access 2007 installed on your computer download the BB_Stats_accde.zip file.
Simply unzip the file and open the BB_Stats.accde database using your Access 2007 program.
2) If you have Microsoft Access 2000-2003 installed on your computer download the BB_Stats_2000.zip file.
Simply unzip the file and open the BB_Stats_2000.mdb database using your Access 2000 program.
3) If you do not have Microsoft Access installed on your computer download the BB_Stats.zip file. Unzipping
the file creates a folder entitled BB_Stats. Open the folder and double click the SETUP.EXE file. Follow the on
screen directions to install the application onto your computer.
The Main Selection Screen
The Players Listing, Managers Listing and Teams Listing buttons are used to list all players,
managers and teams from 1871 through the 2008 season. The Player Search and Managers
Search buttons allow for search for particular players or managers. Enter a first name and/or a
last name and press OK. A list of players or managers that fit your criteria will be displayed.
You can double click anywhere on the players name to display their full career statistics.
The Teams/Years/Leaders button operates differently in that the resulting list depends on which
criteria were entered.
Teams/Years/Leaders Search Screen
If only a year is entered then all teams from that particular season will be displayed. You can in
turn double click on a particular team from that season to display the team’s statistics. You can
also click the leaders’ button from this resulting list to view the league leaders for this particular
season.
You can also enter a team name in the team
box to display a list of all seasons for that
particular team, which you can double click
a season to drill down to that season’s
statistics. Entering a year and a team name
will return just this season and team.
Teams Search Results Display
The Leaders button is used to immediately display the league leaders for a particular season.
This does require that a year be entered.
Individual Players Statistics Screen
The three other buttons that are available from the Main Selection Menu are the Awards, AllTime Career Leaders and the Single Season Records which will display a page full of award
winners, the all time career leaders and single season record holders. Double clicking on any
player’s name will display their individual career statistics.
Single Season Records Screen
The final button, Exit System, will close the Baseball Statistics System.
I hope you enjoy using this application. The data has been complied through countless hours of
dedicated work. The application has been created through hundreds of hours of work so that
these statistics can be truly explored and enjoyed. Donations to off set the hard work and real

 Pressing the Enter key operates the same as clicking the OK button on search forms
