Installing Skype (free version)
Go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/windows/
Select the free Skype version. This will
allow a PC to PC call free of charge.
Calling from a PC to a land line or
mobile phone requires a paid
subscription.
Once you select download, you’ll be asked if you want to run or save. Select run. You may get a
notification on your tool bar that an application wants to make active x changes. Click allow.
Steps 3 & 4 of the setup are below:
You will now have an icon for Skype on your desktop. To setup a Skype account, go:

Usernames are normally your first name and last name with a period in between. IE Evonne.Masters.
The system will prompt you to add numbers if your name has been previously assigned. The next step is
to create a password. Once you’ve installed Skype and created your account, you are ready to receive
and make PC to PC calls. Click on the icon and sign into Skype.
