Have you always wanted to play under the shadow of the Green Monster? Starting in 2014 teams had
the opportunity to do just that. Enjoy a minimum of three games of tournament baseball on
Belchertown Little League baseball diamonds. Every team will be scheduled to play at least one
game on our celebrated Hulmes–Warner Field, a replica of Fenway Park in Boston. Our “MiniFenway” is complete with Green Monster, painted replica scoreboard, warning track, and great
spectator viewing from the right field hill, and just installed for the 2014 season, LIGHTS!!
Due to the short timeframe of each tournament not all teams will have the opportunity to play a night game.
Games will be played per Little League tournament rules for each age group. The 9-10 division will
be played under the 9-10 Little League World Series Tournament Rules, and the 11-12 division will be
played under the 12 year old World Series Tournament Rules with the adjustments listed on the
enclosed rules document.
Pool Play Tournament Format - Home Run Derby: Saturday Night, 6 PM - Playoffs Sunday
All Tournament players are eligible to participate in the Home Run Derby Saturday night. Come out
and try to defeat the Green Monster. Points awarded for distance, wall balls, and clearing the park.
Top scores will receive awards.
Teams must email the Tournament Director, Jon Endelos at [email protected] to reserve your spot,
if you register online, or send in paperwork without contacting the Tournament Director, your spot
may not be available. Each tournament is limited to 12 teams. ONLY PAYMENT IN FULL
GUARANTEES YOUR SPOT IN THE TOURNAMENT.

2016 Green Monster Tournament
Rule Adjustments

Team Roster: Up to 14 players per team (must be submitted prior to first game.)

Pitching: Based on number of innings NOT number of pitches.
o Each player may pitch a total of 12 innings during the regular tournament games.
Pitching more than three innings in a single day (either single game, first game of a
doubleheader, or total in a doubleheader) requires one calendar day of rest. A single
pitch thrown constitutes an inning pitched. Players that reach a playoff game and who
are still eligible to pitch (pitched no more than 3 innings on Saturday and / or Sunday)
may pitch an additional 3 innings in the playoff games.
o If a pitcher pitches 3 innings or less on any given day he can pitch on the next day. If a
pitcher throws 4 innings, they are NOT eligible to pitch the next calendar day or the
next game on the same day. This applies to pitchers who throw on Saturday, for
Sunday’s Playoffs. (NOTE: one pitch thrown is considered 1 inning)

Protests: All protests will be settled on the field before play is resumed any protest not settled
prior to play being resumed shall not be considered. Final decisions and penalties (if deemed
necessary) will be determined by the Tournament Committee.

Each team leading their pool at the end of the day Saturday will advance to Sunday’s playoffs
in addition to one Wildcard Team. In the event of a tie the following tie breakers shall govern:

The head to head game will govern.
In the event of a 3 way tie, the team that allowed the fewest runs shall govern.
If a tie still exists between two teams the head to head game shall govern.
If a tie still exists, additional tie breaking methods will be instituted.
BOTH managers must verify game scores and pitchers used:
o At the conclusion of each team’s game the manager or coach must call or email to the
tournament director, the Final Score, the pitchers used and number of innings pitched.

9-10 Division ONLY will have a continuous batting order.

All other rules shall follow Little League Tournament rules for that age group
