Aim
Develop a National Adaptation Strategy (NAS) for South Africa; with the
following aims:
1. Build resilience & adaptive capacity to respond to CC risk & vulnerability
2. Provide strategic guidance & leadership on the integration of CC adaptation &
resilience into current & future development objectives at national & sub-national
3. Optimise coherence in policy-making, planning, and implementation to ensure
balanced outcomes.
Process
Phase 1: Inception and orientation (Dec 2015 - Feb 2016)
Phase 2: Information analysis and knowledge management; Draft Strategy
Development (Jan 2016 - Jun 2016)
Phase 3: Final Strategy development and compiling NAS (April 2016 - Feb 2017)
