Summer is a great time to explore all that Romulus has to offer while spending time with neighbors, family and friends. I hope you will plan to join us at all of the free community events including our annual Flag Day ceremony at the Senior Center and Romulus Towers on June 14, grab a lawn chair and join us on June 16 for our featured Movie in the Park and again on June 23 as we kick off the summer music series in the Historical Park. Family fun and fellowship is the foundation of our City. It is what sets us apart from our neighboring communities. I look forward to seeing you throughout the month as we enjoy all that our Home of Opportunity has to offer. Sincerely, LeRoy D. Burcroff, Mayor of Romulus Have old medical equipment or supplies? Donate it to the Senior Center for those in need. There are many seniors without insurance or coverage that may benefit from items you don’t need anymore. Please feel free to drop them off at the Senior Center where they will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis. Items needed include: adult underwear/briefs (size L/XL most requested!), walkers, wheelchairs, shower chairs, bandages, toilet seat risers, etc. Too many grocery bags? Are your plastic grocery bags taking up space in a drawer or cabinet? The Senior Center is in need of clean, plastic grocery bags to help with packaging our monthly commodities.
