MEDIA NOTICE For immediate broadcast MEDIA ACCREDITATION: JACKALOPE action sports festival Montréal, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 – Media representatives are invited to request credentials to access the JACKALOPE action sports festival, presented by le Lait au chocolat, this coming August 19 to 21 on the Esplanade Financière Sun Life at the Olympic Park (Montréal). High level athletes from around the world will be participating. It’s going to be an awesome show! PROGRAM Schedule can be found online  JUMP OFF base jump competition, where athletes launch from the top of The Montréal Tower. This is a first and an incredibly historic event, given the 40th anniversary of the Olympic Park.  The only Canadian stop of Men’s and Women’s World Cup Skateboarding‐WCS. This is a sport that’s gaining a lot of momentum. In fact, the IOC has announced the skateboarding will be a new sport at the Tokyo Games in 2020 >>>  The most important fixed gear criterium in Canada.  Major urban climbing competition. The IOC also announced that climbing will be a new sport at the 2020 Tokyo Games.  Freestyle motocross demonstrations.  Introduction to slackline  JACKALOPE is sports oriented but it’s also very much about the urban lifestyle: DJ, food trucks, pop up shops, after parties, etc. ACCREDITATION Please address your request for accreditation to access the event site and different media zones (The Tower, mixed and competition zone, media room, parking lots, etc.) to Véronique Lavoie: [email protected]. ACCESS THE MONTREAL TOWER Accreditation is mandatory (limited places) in order to obtain privileged shots of the JUMP OFF competition and action, Friday, August 19. Accredited media are expected at 6:20pm at the foot of the Tower, in order to ride up. In case of rain or strong winds, the competition may be moved to the evening of August 20 or 21. ACCESS TO EVENT SITE  Media/VIP entry via Pierre‐De Coubertin Avenue (near the Pie IX metro station).  A pressroom will be set up just off of the site for broadcasting live events; the pressroom will have snack and refreshments. PARKING  Free parking on PA2, via Pierre‐De Coubertin Avenue, upon presentation of your press pass or when travelling in a designated media vehicle.  Access to event site parking for satellite truck and designated media vans provided upon request.
