How to Enter Your Course Learning Outcomes in the Curriculum Database Go to the Curriculum Database (www.monroecc.edu/A-Z Index/C/Curriculum Database Select “Create Proposal” from the navigation bar Choose the “Course Learning Outcomes” template. A form will open. The first tab is called Proposal Status Your name and a proposal number will be assigned. Click on the Proposed Implementation Date; choose a department and an academic division from the drop down menu. 8/14/2014 Page 1 How to Enter Your Course Learning Outcomes in the Curriculum Database Click “check now” at the bottom of the page and go to the next tab. The second tab is called Course Info. In this tab, enter the course title, prefix, number, and prerequisites, if any. Click “check now” at the bottom of the page and go to the next tab. The last tab is called Learning Outcomes. Use the drop down menu to select the number of course learning outcomes you need, and enter your outcomes in the boxes that appear after selecting the number. The information about Bloom’s Taxonomy is linked on that page for your information. Go back to the first tab, and select “Submit” to your department chair. Workflow process: Your department chair will receive an email indicating that your proposal is ready for review. One approved, your chair forwards it to your division dean who forwards it for approval to the Curriculum Committee. You will be notified at each stage of the proposal. 8/14/2014 Page 3
