RULES
1.1 PARTICIPATION IN UCI MASTERS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
5.1.001 Except where provided otherwise for the masters category, the category which will be applied for
entries to races for the entire season is the category to which the rider will belong on 1 January of
the following calendar years.
Masters:
All riders who hold a Masters licence may ride in the masters world championships. However the
following riders are not eligible :
1. Any riders who has ridden in the UCI world championships, continental championships or UCI
world cup during the current season.
2. Any rider. Who has been a member, during the current seasons, of a team registered with the
UCI.
3. During the current seasons, any rider classified in the UCI individual cyclo-cross classification
published following the national championships in Europe.
5.4.001 Only licence holders under articles 1.1.001 to 1.1.028 and 5.1.001 may take part in the masters
world championships. A race number is only issued on presentation of the license.
5.4.003 All details specifically relating to the masters world championships must be obtained from organizer
daily no temporary or from the UCI website.
1.2 EQUIPMENT
5.4.002 The riders taking part in the masters world championships represent their country, but are
permitted to use equipment of their choice.
1.3.031 Wearing a rigid safety helmet shall be mandatory during competitions and training sessions.
1.3.025 Disc brakes are allowed in cyclo-cross training and competition.
For races on the road and cyclo-cross, the use of fixed sprocket is forbidden: a braking system that
acts on both wheels is required.
1.3.018 For the Cyclo-cross bicycle the width of the tyre (measured between the widest parts) shall not
exceed 33 mm and it may not incorporate any form of spike or stud.

MASTERS RIDERS CATEGORIES
Daily licenses are not accepted, for participation at the UCI Masters Cyclo-cross World Championships. (see
article UCI 5.4.001.)
5.4.004
The championships are usually organized in 5 years age groups: 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, etc. Age groups
will be combined when less than 6 riders enter an age group. In case of combined age title for the
respective 5 years age groups will be awarded (even when only 1 rider is entered.)

COMPETITORS SELECTION
Each rider respecting the standards of points 1 and 2 may entry the 2016 UCI Masters Cyclo-cross World
Championships under his/her own responsibility. There is no maximum quota per Nation.
The registration is individual.

4.1 ONLINE REGISTRATION

The System will open on: Monday 19th September 2016, 14h00 CET
The System will close on: Wednesday 30th November 2016, 14h00 CET
How?
Through the website www.wcmasterscyclocross.com or www.wkmasterscyclocross.be page REGISTRATION.
Only internet registrations are valid, no last-minute registration on site will be accepted.

Prize?
The entry prize is 40 EUR. until 12.11.16 / 60 EUR since 13.11.16 until the 30.11.2016.

4.2 RIDERS CONFIRMATION AT THE VENUE
What?
All riders have to show up at the time of the riders confirmation to ensure the participation.
The license check by commissaries is mandatory.
The riders will receive the passes when they pick up their numbers.

Riders can use the parking of Sunparks with 3400 vehicles. They can also park on the Zilvermeerlaan, P2
« fishbone ». Guests will use a portion of the P1 and P2 entirely.

The race number will be attributed by the Organisation committee of the 2016 UCI Masters Cyclo-cross
World Championships.

OFFICIAL CEREMONIES
The following points apply to the official ceremonies:
9.1.044 … / … The World Champion, as well as the second and the third placed riders shall be ready for the
official ceremony that shall be conducted under the responsibility of the president of the
commissaries panel.
9.1.046 Riders shall appear in racing attire.
The first three riders receive gold, silver and
bronze medals, following article 5.4.004, and two
trophies offered by the City of Mol.
The UCI Masters Cyclo-cross World champion jersey
is to be worn during masters cyclo-cross races of
the corresponding category only.
Wearing this jersey during other category’s or
discipline races is forbidden and may be punish with
a fine of 2.000 CHF (UCI article 1.3.072).

The public can use the Sunparks parking with space for 3400 cars. Other parking lots at the Zilvermeerlaan:
P2 in “fish bone shape”
VIP can use P1 partially and P2 completely.
