ICE CULT
Smart and beauty
Ice Cult is not only a fun brain teaser for up to four tacticians but also a true
eye catcher. Four transparent cubes made from acrylic plastic with icons on
them are the heart of the game. Whenever it is a player’s turn, that player first
turns two times two cubes. Then the player checks which icons are on top and
moves the corresponding playing pieces. Like this, everyone is able to move
everybody’s playing pieces. Since the playing pieces will give each other “piggyback rides” one has to be clever to make the right moves at the right time to
move all own playing pieces off the ice first.

Sport the Spots and rock around the cow pat
Kuhno is the perfect fit for everybody who either loves Crazy Eights already or
is otherwise ready to fall for this great addition to the genre. Not surprisingly,
the aim of the game is to be the first to get rid of all cow cards and to yell out
at the right time. Instead of simply matching numbers and colors though there
are four discard piles around a central cow pat. The fly on top of this cow pat
dictates which spots a cow needs to have in order to be allowed to graze
when and where.

EXPLOSIVE ACTION UNTIL THE END
Lunte is a fast-paced action game for players who will stay cool no matter
how rapidly the cards hit the table. Everybody tries to keep track of how many
points can be scored while simultaneously adding cards of varying values
to two rapidly growing discard piles. Perfect timing and nerves of steel are
imperative as each player only has two chances to hit it big.

Geistesblitz – Spooky Doo
A top-notch Game in a Top-notch box
Geistesblitz – Spooky Doo is the latest addition to Zoch’s ingenious brain
twister family of games. Not only does it come in a beautiful metal box but it
also features two brand-new items, the barrel and the fez, with exiting fresh
gameplay. While the basic Geistesblitz rules still apply, the fez can be placed
over any of the other items. It is a new challenge to know which item is hidden
underneath the fez at all times.

THE COLORFUL KIDS‘ GAME WITH THE GORGEOUS GARDENER
Spring ins Feld! is the flower picking game with the innovative dice pawn
that’s a hit with young players. The gorgeous gardener pawn is made from
solid wood, with a transparent hat that has a flower die inside of it. Whenever
the gardener jumps from one flower bed to another, the die will automatically
spin. The player who moved him gets to pick all matching flowers. The first full
flower basket ends the game.

Mix and maneuver
Centerpiece of the clever action game Nitro Glyxerol is a laboratory flask full
of colorful ingredients for each player who wants to become bigger, stronger
or more intelligent. “Glyxcards” with nice illustrated mice symbolize those effects: size, strength, speed, beauty and intelligence. Simultaneously, the players start shaking their own flask in order to navigate the ingredients into the
flak’s spout in the right order according to the “Glyxformula”.
The innovative and crazy game rewards clever timing over raw dexterity and is

Going over – dropping out
8 * 28 is a easygoing card game for up to six players. One face down card
starts the round and each player may add their personal collection by face-up
cards. At the same time it is required to hand a gem over. This contingent of
gems will be shared by the two winners of the round – but not for having most
or less points but for being closest to a total of 8 or 28 (without going over).
A round will only stop if no one wants to add more cards.

Heckmeck Extrawurm
10-year Heckmeck anniversary
Heckmeck Extrawurm is the must-have expansion for all true fans of the
classic Heckmeck game. Extrawurm adds four animal meeples, an additional
die, two brand new roasted worm portions and seven brat worms.
Two to seven players try to get hold of “barbeque worms” for their chickens, so
they don’t go hungry. 16 different valuable portions of worms are placed in the
middle of the table to be snapped up by the dicing chickens. However, if you
don’t manage to get hold of any worms from the “barbecue“ you can maybe
swipe a portion from another player.
The extension only can be played in combination with the original game.

Award for Spinderella from Zoch
For kids up from 6 years
The award “Deutscher Kinderspiele Preis 2015” goes to “Spinderella” from the
game publisher Zoch. It is the second prestigious German game prize. The
award ceremony is held in Essen during the “Spiel 2015” on october 7.
Spinderella is a kids-friendly roll and move game that features fantastic components. While the players race their ants on the lower game board, the spiders are moving on a second board above. Dice willing, the players can lower
the magnetic spider suspended from a thread to catch the ants of their opponents.
