Question to Ponder: How do you Grow from Good to Great?
 How do rules help you?
 What would life be like with out rules?
 Identify 10 Commandments as a set of rules. Which commandment is
hardest to follow?
Action: Play a game with no rules. Now have the kids set the rules and play the
same game.

Question to Ponder: What is the trinity, Holy Spirit? Why do we get baptized?
(dedication to God) This scripture is called the great commission. What does that
mean? (an authorative order or direction) Tallk about mission. Who is a
missionary? How can kids be missionaries for God?
Action: Shoe Relay, Make an Invitation

Scripture: Mark 9
Question to Ponder: Explain, “If you want to be the first, then you have to be last”
Mark 9:35 How do you go from Good to Great and be last? How can you think of others
first? Did you ever know somebody who got into trouble for doing good? ( a kid
teased for helping a nerdy kid or a kid bullied for being smart) What qualities do
you need to be 1st and last? (patience, giving,caring etc….)
Action: Identify all the different people in the world and unique qualities. Make flags
to be presented or displayed during World Communion Sunday.

Questions to Ponder: What is Enough? What do you need? What do you want?
What could you give up? What couldn’t you ever do without?
Action: Game like Musical Chairs or elimination game

Questions to Ponder: How do you address selfishness and greed?
Action: Let’s Make a Deal Game

Questions to Ponder: What is a parable? (a comparison) Identify the greed and
jealousy in the Prodigal son story. When have yoy had similar feeling to these
brothers?
Action: Come up with ideas and act out a modern day story about 2 siblings.

Scripture: Phillipians 4:4-13
Questions to Ponder: What is generosity? Who do you know that is generous? What
help/prevents people from being generous? Are you a complainer or one who tries
to make a situation better? Do you worry? What helps or causes worry?
Action: Non competitive games involving everybody. List generous things kids can
do and make posters.
November 14

Scripture: Numbers 13:25-33, Isaiah 41:10
Questions to Ponder: What fears keep you from having faith? What were 3
mistakes the spies made coming out of the desert? (forgot the past, satisfied with
the present, and fearful of the future.) Can faith give you courage? Is your glass ½
full or ½ empty? How can you rethink your attitude?
Action: Play I spy game or have an obstacle course with a variety of challenges.
