Dear Parents/Carers
It’s unbelievable how quick this first term has gone! We’ve all been working
very hard and produced some lovely work.
During the Christmas holidays, children will be asked to undertake some
preliminary research for our next topic ‘Trouble at T’Mill’ A Victorian case
study. The children can access work through the Espresso website:

If you don’t have the internet, use your local library to research these topics.
The homework is:
‘To research important events in the Victorian Era and place them on a
timeline. E.g. Coronation of the Queen Victoria.
Important information for the first few weeks back:
 We will be arranging a Year 4/5 Enterprise Day in late January to raise
money to subsidise our school trip to Quarry Bank Mill. We will be
sending out more details nearer the time, but we would love for parents
to come in and help with cooking /crafts etc.
Finally, let us thank you for all your help and support over the past term. We
wish you and your families a happy and joyful Christmas. Have a lovely holiday
and we will see you back on Monday 7th January 2012.
