SENIOR FUNDRAISER TRUSTS AND FOUNDATIONS RECRUITMENT PACK What you need to know The post is Senior Fundraiser – Trusts and Foundations and you’ll be in the Public Engagement department. This is a great opportunity for an experienced trusts fundraiser to take on a new challenge, delivering an outstanding supporter experience and long term income growth from a portfolio of trusts and foundations. Reporting to the Philanthropic Partnerships Team Manager, you will lead a successful team of two fundraisers to be responsible for gifts from trusts and foundations funding Plan’s overseas work with children and their communities. You will be take on a varied portfolio of existing supporters, delivering first class account management and leading the team to cultivate new relationships. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to fundraise for a wide range of Plan’s overseas work including education, health, child protection, child participation, economic security, water and sanitation, the promotion of the rights of adolescent girls, and responding to emergencies and disasters worldwide. It’s a permanent contract, and it’s a full time post at 34.5 hours a week (we finish at 4.30pm on a Friday). We are based in Old Street, London (Finsgate, 5-7 Cranwood Street to be precise) What we’re looking for You will be experienced in preparing proposals and updates across a range of projects, and delivering persuasive and professional presentations. You will manage and grow income by establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with donors and colleagues across the organisation. You will have a strong track record in fundraising and will enjoy the challenge of a busy team, using your solid organisational skills to simultaneously manage a variety of interesting projects. You will be an experienced manager of people, able to work independently and be able to inspire and motivate a team to achieve stretching targets. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and possess good budgeting and financial management skills. The unit works across trusts, major donors and corporates and has seen remarkable growth in recent years – from £2m in 2007 to £9 million this year. The funds raised by the Unit support Plan’s work with children and their communities to help realise children’s rights. We work across a range of sectors, including education, health, child protection, child participation, economic security, disaster relief, water and sanitation. The Senior Fundraiser – Trusts and Foundations role sits in The Philanthropic Partnerships Team, which is specifically responsible for all trust, foundation and major donor relationships and income. It is a high-growth, exciting and innovative team, having increased annual revenue from £660k in 2005 to over £3m in 2015. This role will manage two Trust Officers and will lead the day to day running of Plan’s trust programme. Job Purpose Work closely with the Philanthropic Partnerships Team Manager (PPTM) to sustain and increase income from trusts and foundations, and to play a key role in the smooth running of the Philanthropic Partnerships Team. Manage the day to day running of the trust programme Manage high level trust relationships, both existing and prospective. Secure 5 and 6 figure grants from trusts. Input into the strategic development of the trust programme as requested by the Philanthropic Partnerships Team Manager. Maximise partner engagement, satisfaction and value, ensuring a high level of customer service and account management. Manage two Trust Officers, supporting them to reach their income targets.
