Seetec Phase 2 Expression of Interest

Seetec
DWP Community Work Placements
Placements and Projects Framework Proposals
Seetec is currently writing its tender responses for the DWP Community Work Placements (CWP) ITT
released recently by the Department for Work and Pensions with a tender deadline of 5th December 2013.
The CWP service is designed to support Work Programme completers (JSA and Universal Credit (full
conditionality) claimants) who have failed to find sustainable employment through Work Programme
provision and whose main obstacles to work are believed to include a lack of experience of the working
environment.
Participants will be referred to CWP by Jobcentre Plus and the successful provider will be required to
deliver provide a wide range of meaningful and supervised placements, which are of benefit to the
community and do not displace current jobs. The placements integrated with between 4 and 10 hours of
job search per week for up to 26 weeks. The programme is expected to run from 28 April 2014 until 27th
October 2016 with final referrals from JCP 31 March 2016.
For further information on this contract ITT please see the Department of Work and Pensions overview
at http://www.dwp.gov.uk/docs/community-work-placements-info-pack.pdf

 CPA 3: London (East)
 CPA 4 London (West)

We are keen to receive expression of interest from organisations that are able to provide suitable work
placement or project opportunities. Suitable projects of community benefit will include group
placements in either outdoor or indoor settings which come under the headings of, for instance,
horticulture, regeneration, heritage, waterways, open spaces, and craft based initiatives.
We believe that local authorities and housing associations, in particular, may have projects which
already exist or could be set up to support local residents by building their work skills confidence and
experience and the local community through delivering local projects which are of direct or indirect
value to the community. It may be that you have existing projects which would benefit from additional
manpower or that you have identified worthwhile community projects which have never gone ahead due
to budget restrictions or lack of manpower. We would welcome discussions on project ideas.
