STARS ARE GATHERING AT VILHELMSBORG
Danish Warmblood Elite Show 9-11 September at Vilhelmsborg, Aarhus
Nearly 300 horses will be visiting Vilhelmsborg to compete at the “Danish Warmblod PAVO Elite
Show” and “Dansk Hesteforsikring Youngster Cup” during the weekend.
Youngster Cup with two world champions
Dansk Hesteforsikring Youngster Cup is a new addition to the Danish Warmblod Elite Show.
The best Danish Warmblood registered young dressage and jumping horses aged 6-7 years
have been invited to compete at Vilhelmsborg. Many of these have already competed at the
world championships for young horses in Verden or at Zangersheide.
In the class for 7-year-old dressage horses the judges and the spectators will lay their eyes on
some of the best young dressage talents in the world. The former world champion for 5-yearolds, “Hønnerups Driver” by Blue Hors Romanov/Blue Hors Don Schufro, will be ridden by his
owner Anna Kasprzak whilst the former world champion for 6-year-olds, “UNO Donna Unique”
by Blue Hors Don Schufro/Falkland, will appear under the saddle of her co-owner Andreas
Helgstrand.
Future stars at auction
Several highly successful Danish Warmblood sport horses have been acquired at the Elite Foal
Auction which also takes places during this three days event. 2011 stallion licensing champion
“ERA Dancing Hit” and premium stallion “Tailormade Attention” were among the top priced
foals at the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Action in 2008, and both proved to be wise
investments.
The collection of 42 foals at the 2011 Elite Foal Action are all out of performance proved dam
lines and by prominent sires such as Jazz, Fürstenball, Blue Hors Don Schufro, Sandro Hit,
Godsend du Reverdy, Cosmeo, Rockland, Johnson, Ampere and Rock Forever. Most of the foals
have also qualified for the national finals at the Elite Show.

Eight new champions
The original concept of the Danish Warmblood Elite Show was to appoint the best 3-year-old
mare. This concept was further developed to include the national finals for filly and colt foals
and 2-year-old fillies, and nowadays this means eight champion titles as each group is divided
into dressage and jumping.
All of the competing horses have qualified at regional shows. The national finals at
Vilhelmsborg will be held among 42 foals, 33 2-year-old filles and 51 newly saddle-graded
mares.
Throughout the weekend press releases will be published on the results of the Elite Foal
Auction, the winners of the Youngster Cup and the eight 2011 champion title winners.
