“Song of the Trees”- Great Depression
Before reading the short story “Song of the Trees,” watch the BrainPop video about the Great Depression to learn
more information about the setting.
Follow the directions below to complete the activity.

Find the search button at the bottom of the app, click on it, and type Great
Depression. A number of related videos will pop up, click on the one that says
Great Depression.
Click play and be sure to take notes as you watch the video.
After the video has finished playing, you will have the option of replaying the
movie or taking the quiz.
After taking the quiz, take a screen shot and show your results to your teacher for
documentation.
