MAKING CITIES RESILIENT CAMPAIGN (MCR)
Why we join MCR Campaign in 2010?
1. To place the issue of risk, disaster and resilience on the
municipality agenda;
2. Weak local governance and insufficient participation by
stakeholders in resilience issues;
3. Adverse effects of climate change that will affect the
local level;
4. To build a institutional capacity (culture of safety and
resilience).
TOTAL DISASTERS [2000-2014] = 16.183
