Ampt Home Run Diode Ampt Home Run Diode Per string home run diode connected in series with Ampt DC/DC power converters • Prevent reverse flow of current into string • Isolate dropped strings and faults • Maximize system uptime • Mitigate hazards during string repair The Ampt HRD is a blocking diode that is placed in series on the home run wire(s) of a string of PV modules being optimized by Ampt converters. The diode prevents reverse current flow into the lowest voltage string. Features: • Quick connect • Connected in series with Ampt converters • High efficiency, compact package • Rugged design and high reliability Ampt HRD Ampt Converter Benefits: • Prevent reverse flow of current into Ampt converters and PV modules • Isolate faults within a string • Prevent dropped strings from causing inverter downtime • Mitigate hazards during string repair Home Run Diode Model HRD-600 HRD-1000 Maximum DC voltage 600 V 1000 V Maximum DC current rated at STC 9.2 A 9.2 A Maximum forward voltage drop at 12.5 A at 25°C 1.0 V 1.0 V Typical efficiency 99.8% 99.8% Electrical* Results: Mechanical • Maximize system uptime • Minimize maintenance • Improve safety • Protect your investment Ambient temperature operating range Dimensions (excluding connectors) Weight Connectors Enclosure rating Cooling -40°F to +158°F (-40°C to +70°C) 3.34 x 1.46 x 1.20 in.
