January 2012
Dear Tu s Environmental,
Welcome back to Tufts from the Office of Sustainability! 2012 got off to a great start with news about zero
waste faculty meetings and about 1,200 people already signed up for the annual Tufts Trek to Talloires
fitness challenge.
As we explore in the next few days what classes
to take this spring, have you considered taking
sustainability-related courses? The Tufts Institute
of the Environment and the Environmental
Studies Program have course guides online listing
the offerings available for Spring 2012, among
them:
Global Cities, Professor Cathy Stanton,
ANTH0020
Environmental Justice & U.S. Literature,
Elizabeth Ammons, ENG0160
American Wilderness, Andrew Turchon,
EXP-0031-S
Human Rights and Climate Change, Jenna
DiCocco, EXP-0043-S
Remember, many of these courses may be full or are filling up fast, so act quickly! And as always, check if
there are any prerequisites. (More picks and links to download course guides on our blog.)
Happy trekking and stay green,
