requirement. Quantity of subsidy is fixed irrespective of the
cost of equipment – where is the question of calling tender
for cheap and low quality equipment

 CIBIL like credit score for continued financing
 Machines as collateral
 Credit Guarantee fund for banks

Small and marginal farm mechanization
Govt should give more emphasis on light weight
power tillers (3-5 hp) with complete set of
attachments for tillage, sowing, weeding/interculture,
irrigation, spraying, harvesting, threshing and
transport of farm input/produce. These equipment
are more suitable for small and marginal farms,
North-East region and hill agriculture
