Mathematics Intervention Resource Chart (K-8) Resource Name Description Analytical & Applied Sciences (AA&S) Math Intervention Interview Analytical & Applied Sciences (AA&S) Intervention Strategy Mats Assessment used to identify specific KCAS (grades 1-4) in which a student needs intervention. A four-quadrant mat that identifies strategies designed to move students through concrete, semi-concrete, and abstract stages of development. Strategy Mats can be used by the classroom teacher to get ideas for how to embed and connect past grade-level KCAS to current grade-level KCAS. Strategy Mats can also be used by a teacher to provide KCASspecific intervention to tier 2 and 3 students. Assessments written to assess each stage of the Intervention Strategies Mat (Concrete, Semi-Concrete, Abstract). Each probe is assigned a number that can be used to monitor student intervention progress. An intervention curriculum used in middle school for tier 3 students. Note: This is in addition to the core math program. A computerized intervention curriculum used for tier 3 interventions in middle school and tier 2 and 3 intervention in elementary school. Note: This is in addition to the core math program. A set of resources collected by Analytical & Applied Sciences department. To be used to do intervention in the core elementary classroom. Example- Use in a “workshop setting” where peer tutors and struggling students works together. Note: This is in addition to the core math program, Investigations. A set of resources intended to be used by the core math teacher to differentiate their core elementary program based on students needs related to grade-level content. Note: This is in addition to the core math program, Investigations. A set of resources intended to be used for intervention with middle or elementary school tier 2 and 3 level students. Could be used in combination with Strategy Mats as extra practice. Note: This is in addition to the core math program.
