Physiotherapy Week 2016 – Free State Move for your health! On Movement for Health Day, the Free State Physiotherapists promoted enhancing your health by including a little more movement in everyday life. This was done at a provincial drummie competition at Jim Fouche Primary School (JF) as part of world Movement for Health Day (10 May). At this event the JF provincial sport star, Emma Swart, who is supported by the SASPFS via sponsor to reach her dreams and achieve her goals to become a top sport star, assisted in the promotion and marketing of the profession as well as Movement for Health Day to promote a little more movement in everyday life amongst children. The learner played a role in the marketing strategy by wearing/using the branded/corporate items (sports bottle, towel, t-shirt, pen, keyring etc.) during her sports activities, school time, and exercise and before and after competitions etc. The SASPFS Physiotherapists also put up the branded inflatable events tent at the competition and educated and assisted with sport injuries during the competition were needed. Marketing materials including the yoyos and Frisbees were distributed amongst the spectators. Private Practices In private practices the Free State Physiotherapists also had exhibitions in their practices and distribute the marketing materials and also educate their patients were possible on the theme of Physiotherapy Week 2016. In general: The Physiotherapy Week 2016 in the Free State was a very successful. Thank you.
